    Interesting, I never stretch before or during training.

    It depends on the type of stretching too, but the study does mention static stretching which is indeed detrimental, as opposed to the dynamic one that is actually encouraged and beneficial before working out. I've written an article on my blog how to properly warm up and stretching was a key topic, but it's in Romanian so I won't link it here.
