Thirty sets... ridiculous. Guys like Dorian, Mentzer, Phil Hernon all built huge arms with a mere fraction of that.

Didn't work for his forearms. Plus that's just stupid. Maybe stop cheating so much, do the exercise correctly and you won't need as many sets?????

I was a far better artist than most of my college art school teachers. But that didn't mean I couldn't learn from them.

And everyone is different. Some people respond better to volume.

Yes, telling a pro how to train, because as a Professsional with a degree and numerous certifications from nationally recognized organizations and with 32 years of training, I'm qualified. An IFBB pro title after their name doesn't mean much. Obviously you can still train incorrectly and still make results, thank god for gear because I can bet you a thousand dollars, Branch being natural would never be wear he is now. He would've been injured 20 years earlier. His training methods are atrocious. He is lucky in the genetics department that he has torn every muscle from his body but I would not want to be him when he eventually has to come off. Look at his stance, the guy can't even stand straight.

Why not 40... 50 sets, then?

    It's arbitrary.
