    We have a greta bench for behind the had presses at our gym in town but not at work. We used to do them all the time. Knock on wood, never bothered my shoulders. My training partner does however have trouble with upright rows.

    The only problem I've seen with behind the head press is, if I try to move up in weight to fast my shoulder feels strained. So i move slowly up the weight. That and a good warm up set, that normally helps with stiffness and etc

    Close grip upright rows are a no no for me . Wide and dumbbells are okay

    ever use an EZ bar and hold the actual plate itself? We used to love those!

    I do that once in awhile as a switch up. It's a decent movement

    I actually got the idea from helping my buddy build his house. I was up on the second floor grabbing sheets of plywood. Almost the exact same motion. I was sore in a good way the next day and tried to figure out how to duplicate that move on shoulder day. LOL
