Unfortunately, the judging standards have screwed up bodybuilding. If there were a set of standards, rules, it would be easier for the competitors to follow. Anyone outside of those parameters should be penalized.

Supposedly there are standard and rules but they just choose not to follow them.

Of course Arnold is right on. Unfortunately it seems to be falling on deaf ears.

As BMC would say.. If he wants to see pretty physiques, go watch MPD/CP.. hahahaha BMC would never say that to someone like Arnold.

After the 2013 Arnold there was a Gut Mandate put in place by Jim Manion and the IFBB. What happened? Maybe Bob Cicherillo can chime in and clear things up.

He speaks about it, but nothing is being done when it counts...

Manion himself wrote that "no distended guts" judging mandate over 10 years ago!
Obviously, Arnold doesn't like what the winning criteria has become.
After this last Olympia, it's obvious the fans don't want it.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, why does it still exist and is worse then ever?

I honestly don't know for sure , but the judges keep rewarding what everyone wants to see banned.

Similar statements were made a few years ago at the Arnold Ohio. The following couples years there was a slight change.

When real change comes across the board this means something. Until then, it is pandering to the angry fans.

I agree with Howard...the world is ending.

If they want bodybuilding to return to some semblance of glory days they have to mandate a NEW rule about the bubble gut. If there is an issue like the one that Phil or Rhoden had at pre-judging...automatically disqualified like obvious synthol injection sites or oil injection sites etc. One year Iris Kyle had an obvious injection infection or something like that at the Arnold Classic Ohio and they placed her last or near last. She had the best physique outside of that issue. How is a fucking bubble gut that is the center of your physique not as offensive or intrusive physique wise? Arnold should actually make it a rule at least at his shows...and FORCE the IFBB to follow the rest of the contests.

Needs to be sorted this horrendous gut issue!

The Camel Crew have tackled and solved this issue so so can the others.

Time for Classic Physique to take some of the prize money away from the Open IMO
