Don't discount Jose. I predict an awesome version of him. Out with a bang. Flex and Jose at the same show. The 212s owe them both a vote of thanks.

agree, fuck Hadi Choopan... this man came all the way from Tijuana with 10 pesos in his pocket and now is one of the greatest 212 competitors to ever step on stage..
owns a house with entertainment center with nice backyard.. i think he should go out the way he came in, riding a donkey.. Ashkanani can come in riding a camel and the 212 will be epic especially if Flex got my text about coming out holding a box of Lucky Charms cereal then dropping the box on the ground and stomping on it which would signal the end of age

I never said Derek was going to beat Flex Lewis, or even that he was better than the established top 4 guys. He could do as well as second, he could place fifth again. I recognize that Jose is always deadly at the Olympia. The 212 is exciting because the placings do shuffle around and the same guys don't always do well at every show as is more the case with the Open.

Derek is young and still not a proven entity like the veterans of the 212. Jose is still very much in the fight. He's placed no lower than fourth at the for the last 8 Olympia shows in a row. I am a fan of Derek - and of Jose, Flex, David, Ahmad, Eduardo, Zane, Shaun, Charles D, etc.
