Cheap! I pay about $7.50/mo. Got 2yrs for the price of 1 when I last renewed.

one of the only gyms around here that have an area dedicated for deadlifting!

    Thumbs up My hardcore gym

This is my gym called West Side Gym located in Washington Heights, Manhattan on 163 st between broadway and St. nicholas avenue. Its pretty hardcore. It has been aroung since the early 60's and they also have a boxing ring. I do have to admit the weights are dumbells are pretty old but they get the job done...here's a pic of me benching with my two (mondays and tuesday) older partners.

I'm just glad that Clogs never caught on in the 80's/90's/FLEX magazine cause I think the neon spandex, fanny packs, ripped tank tops, and sunglasses indoors did enough for the public image of bodybuilders already
    I min/max my physique

On any given day, you can see Hulk Hogan, Melvin Anthony, Albert Beckles, and others working out there.

I worked out here once about a year and a half ago. It was way too "fitness cluby" and my friend and I got bitched at for making too much noise. We were not that loud. Also, the equipment is all on top of eachother. Not a very good place to work out in general. If your in the that area just drive an extra half-an-hour to Venice Gold's, truly the "Mecca of Bodybuilding".

    Atlas Gym (Formerly Gold's Gym)
    4790 S. Hagadorn
    Suite 134C
    East Lansing, Michigan 48823

It's not the most hardcore gym in the world, but certainly has the hardcore hold on the area. It's right across the street from Michigan State University's campus so there are tons of people and a lot of fitness lifters, but there are some serious lifters. Best part is that they don't really care how loud you are or how much chalk you use. Lots of dumbells including pairs up to 145, plenty of bars and more than enough plates to load the bars. 3 squat racks, a buch of, machines too. Most of the equipment is old and used, but the new owners are begining to replace the bars and within the next year they are going to get a whole new set of dumbbells, up to 150. Open 24 hours from 5 am Monday to 10 pm Friday. Then from 8 am to 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Exactly Rattbones thats what i was going to mention. I also see some bodybuilders on the cover of magazines with big hard combat style boots. Personally i work out in sneakers and to be honest it doesnt really matter what the hell one wears, because we are in the gym to work our muscles not to enter a fashion show....right Skeet???

Default Big Daddy's Gym, Springfield, MA.

Check out Colker's review of this place in the new MD. Jeff King, Mr.America/Mr. Universe/Nabba Pro, Rich Roy, Pro Mr. Universe, Matt Dufresne, Mr. America/ Mr. Universe, Cathy Costello, MS. America, Joe Gomes,Mr. America...Artie Prince, Moe Roy, Jimmy Jarvis...all title holders...and they all were there during the same time period!! Everyone got along and hepled anyone who asked and some who didn't. The kicker was when you joined, Big Daddy (Rick Britt), showed you how to spot correctly and you couldn't train till you got it right! In the 80's to the mid 90's there was no where better!
