i train everybody part twice per week, with the exception of abs which is 3x per week, about 16 sets on back and chest, 12 tri's and bi's, etc, dont think its over training i feel the need to train like this as i recover quick also i think you can get away with it when your younger as you recover quicker, if you recover fully there's no reason not to train that bodypart again, also arnold trained with a lot more volume than this (just example i'm not saying i'm him - this just works better for me) and also chemicals help of course for twice a week

Once a week. 2 times just isn't enough time for recovery for me. When I was teenager and first started it didn't matter, I just responded but as I got more seasoned I needed more rest.

i like legs, chest, back, shoulders, then arms, taking rest days as needed. on rotations that im feeling good and have only taken one rest day, and my body feels good and isnt tired i might throw in a day where i hit something i think might need a little extra work then rest for a couple days and back at it again starting with legs

Focusing the muscles, only once a week.

It depends on your recovery ability.

I like to do Back, Bi, Chest, Tri, Shoulder and repeat it when done. Maybe take an off day every now and then. All in all every 5 days.

How about work out five days, take five off? Curious if complete rest (with only daily walking) would allow recovery without losing strength and size.

I am curious, looking at everyone's pics, seeing that many folks seem to get results...will just about anything work?

I just read Body by Science and I am more confused than ever (having read tons of HIT and the usual volume training stuff). One set just does not seem to be enough, especially if done, once every week, etc.

at the moment twice a week but I train with low volume since i train for strength, and one day is heavy the other is speed day, so effectively training heavy once a week really. muscles recover in 2-3 days so it should be able to be trained 2x a week, ronnie coleman does it too!

Always did 2x a week. I think im gonna start doing 1x a week to focus on the muscles more. Plus i dont think my lower back can take it anymore!!!
