Jason Ferruggia is my current "mentor" of sorts as I'm following his training program courtesy of his ebook series "Muscle Gaining Secrets".

Jay has a website that has a number of very interesting articles for those interested in low volume training.

Another item I recently purchased was Ferruggia's book, "Fit to Fight: An Insanely Effective Strength and Conditioning Program for the Ultimate MMA Warrior."

The book offers a program focused on conditioning and designed to increase overall strength, stamina, speed, and flexibility. The author's goal is to help his readers substantially reduce their risk of injury in any intense sport, but obviously with a concentration on mixed martial arts.

How would this be for six minutes of cardio? Now complete that sequence four times and you've got a solid workout.

Should have done cardio yesterday at the gym. There might be a walk today. Took a reasonable week off related to a few muscle pulls and strains, but I'm entering the Lazy Zone quickly. This week will tell the tale. Gym tomorrow, Thursday, and Saturday or there's trouble in Diesel Town!

    'sup, GX?

I'm up too late on school night! lol

Nursing my left knee now. And lower back's not 100%. Mostly going well in the gym otherwise. Thanks for the visit. I'll check your journal out ASAP. Wishing you continued good training!

Mine is at a standstill right now, as I endeavor not to break my wrist, and try to heal... looks like it is just bruised connective tissue, and not the joint itself. But I was trying to work on it anyway, and the healing was slow. Taking a week off to let it build back up. It is not a pretty time for me.

But hey... that is life. This will not keep me down forever.

    Ever the optimist, eh, west?

GX, you doing single dumbbell presses, curls, rows for the "good" arm? I've read more than once that unilateral training or whateverthefuck it's called is especially helpful at rehabbing... or that working the good arm will actually assist and speed the healing of the injured arm.

    Sweet if it's true.
