A snatch deadlift is basically a wide-grip deadlift. Hands here (see below ), well one there and one near the other collar.

Something Jason Ferruggia has listed in his book of exercises.

    20:00 Star Trac bike
    20:00 Free Motion treadmill
    10:00 Life Fitness 9500HR stepper
    30:00 Life Fitness treadmill

    80:00 total

    Crunches 3 x 30
Knee Raises 3 x 20 - Completed on this cool Icarian angled-back set up.

    Internal Rotators 3 x 12 with 15 lbs.
External Rotators 3 x 12 with 10 lbs. - The rotator work was completed on a Life Fitness multi-station thing. I think I have my weights used incorrect, actually. There are two settings - lighter and heavier. Mine was set on lighter, so I probably was using 5 lbs. and 7.5 lbs. rather than 10 and 15. I'm leaving the bigger numbers for the machodieselimmaBEAST psychological boost.

I guess that means you have to bend over further to start the exercise. Doesn't seem like the best idea at first glance.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? In actuality, however, I'm just squatting deeper.

Perhaps I should post a YouTube.

See, that's the beauty of simply and blindly following an exercise program mapped out by someone else.

    http://www.google.com/search?q=snatch+deadlifts

The first link from the above Google search offers some good arguments why it might be a good if not the best idea.

Newp. I just completed a MuscleTech contest over there and am eating like a son of a...

But I'm also enjoying a friendly contest. One point for every 20 minutes of cardio and five points for every weight workout. Scores are tallied at the end of each week (Saturday at 11:59:59 p.m.).

I ran cross country in high school, so I guess I actually like cardio. Who'dathunkit?

No way in hell. I probably finished dead last.

Lost >< close to 12 pounds and about 2 1/2" inches off my gut, but visibly? No noticeable difference. D'OH! Still, the contest was a lot of fun. Participating in the contest thread was enjoyable. Although it's already getting ugly with what I consider sour grapes and crybabies.

People are bickering over rules and the prize package value. Idiotic.

Here's one of the top picks, imo.

    Pretty insane, huh?

I posted this as a gag:

Nah, that dude already had good size. He's just pale, holding his shoulders in and pushing his belly out in that first pic.

Sounds like you may need to up the dosage, Mr James.

I believe you're overstating what he might have done. Yes, it's clear that the tan helped, but he's not faking that sh!t hanging off his hips. And although you can push a gut out and pull your shoulders in, the guy was definitely on point with his diet. Just look at those frigging abs! From dough boy to rrrripped!

I said it in the thread, though. It's a promotion. Contest schmontest. They got all of us to purchase MT supps. They received some amount of publicity. It's all good for MuscleTech. The prize package was interesting, too.

    11. Prizes:
    a. First Prize: One (1) First Prize winner will receive the following elements. The approximate retail value of the entire prize is $47,000.
    • A check for $25,000 within three (3) months of being verified as a winner.
    • A one-year supply of assorted MuscleTech® supplements from Bodybuilding.com worth approximately $12,000.
    • An assortment of MuscleTech® clothing worth approximately $1,000.
    • A trip to watch the Mr. Olympia Finals in Las Vegas Nevada. The trip includes: (a) round-trip coach-class airfare for two (2) from the airport closest to the winner's residence to the destination city; (b) hotel accommodations selected by Sponsor in one (1) room for four nights; (c) $500 in spending money; and (d) VIP-access for two (2) to the event. Travel will occur between September 25, 2008 and September 29, 2008. Neither the Sponsor nor Administrator assume or undertake any liability to winner or winner's travel companion in the contingency that the Mr. Olympia Finals does not take place as scheduled.
    • A trip to meet Jay Cutler. The trip includes: (a) round-trip coach-class airfare for two (2) from the airport closest to the winners' residence to the destination city; (b) hotel accommodations selected by Sponsor in one (1) room for two nights; and (c) $500 in spending money. Travel will occur between August and December 2008, but the exact details depend on availability and Mr. Cutler's schedule.
    • The opportunity to be featured in Muscle Mag International magazine.
    b. Second Prizes: Three (3) Second Prize winners will each receive $1,000.

    heh

I'm as clean as a whistle. Chewable low dose aspirin is all I have here.

I was reading a really interesting article/interview over on T-Nation. This long-time steroid user called AAS the ace card. The sooner you play the ace the less likely somethingsomething. He was completely pro AAS, however I thought "the ace card" was a cool, uh, analogy, I guess.

Stated that if you have to play your ace to make it in college ball the you'll probably never become a pro. If you have to play your ace to bench 300 then you'll never see 500. Dunno. Still, a cool interview. Anonymous, of course.

Personally, I believe they should legalize EVERYTHING. All drugs. Good to go. I'm not going to shoot heroin just because some idiot politician gives me the green light. D'OH! Still, I'd love to see what an end to the so-called U.S. war on drugs would accomplish. The war itself has accomplished the amazing feat of incarcerating a fat lot of citizens. Nice.

Yeah, he definitely lost some weight. Then got a pump on for the second pic.

It's hilarious that they made you buy the supplements. Dirty cunts. I really dislike that company.

    It's true, I hate you.

12lbs loss is good progress. I agree with west that that other guy made himself look pretty crappy in his before shot on purpose. people should be required to both flex and smile in before and after shots.

you are a real contest junkie.
