And for that reason is why i have two back days i alternate. Otherwise i wouldn't have enough gas to get through the various exercises I PERSONALLY like to do. One day i'll do 6 to 8 sets of deadlifts and 5 or 6 sets of barbell rows then the next week I'll do 4 sets of chin up, 4 sets of lat pulldowns, and 4 sets of seated cable rows. keeps back training fun (to me) and keeps me from dreading deadlifts since i only have to do them twice a month.

I'm not attacking you personally, cause i've heard this statements in various magazines and from a national level competitor but I think thats simply not true. any thickening of the waist is more than likely just fat considering there is almost zero muscle around the hip bone, and theres no way in hell a bodybuilding article is gonna convince me that doing deadlifts actually spreads your hip bones further apart (which would make for a thicker waist) honestly i think it's just a bunch of bro science

Well my split is like this and its been getting me great results for the past couple months:

    Day 1: Chest
    Day 2: Back
    Day 3: OFF
Day 4: Powerlifting Chest (Low reps high weight)
    Day 5: OFF
Day 6: Powerlifting day- Squats and Dealifts
    Day 7: OFF

I do this mainly cause I'm tryin to improve my bench and get stronger. My arms and shoulders are overpowering so whatever work they get comes from chest and back day anyway.
Tim Martin over Levrone? I still can't stop laughing.

Back day. I stretch, do some standing lat rope pulls and pull ups. Then right to deadlift as my first main exercise. Though I recently switched to rack deads instead of deads from the floor.

I do them as my final exercise on back day but every other workout. When I use to do them at the beginning of my workout I was super weak for the rest of the workout.

I start with DL's, then move into rack deads......THEN I move into the rest of my back training.

Deadlift of Leg day. More sensible IMO. To each his own.

I DL on it's own day..... The wk I DL I need to squat light to make sure I my back gets a full rest before I make the rounds again.

I only DL every 2-3 months. So it's done on it's own day. 80% of me lifts are ultra heavy singles.

I do stiff leg deadlifts on leg day and load up the bar with 25s so I can get a deeper stretch. Try it, it's sick.

Rack pulls on back day and its always just depends on how Im feeling that work out whether i do them or not .

They are generally done after pull up and some sort of pull down motion
