    Default Week 13 Averages!

    195.2 @ 14.5%

    weight......UP.........0.5lbs
    fat%........down......0.6
    fat...........down......1.1lbs.
    muscle......UP.........1.6lbs.

Guess this was a good week!
So I did NO fats last Sunday, then I did extra fats on Wednesday, and I know a few days at the end of the week I had a bit MORE pro than usual. Extra scoop of pro in a shake or 2 and a few extra ounces of checken or beef here and there. Nothing crazy. Anyway that was definately my best week yet. Hopefully I can continue with similar results.
Also (now that I think about it), I have been training different lately. I went back to lower volume. I basically work up to just one big set. Good times.

Good to see Joe. Muscle up 1.6 is out of control. I wonder what triggered that?
    Keep it up.

Joe your protein question in Layne's thread got me thinking. What's your current sup. regimen? I've never heard you once mention it let alone any 'fat burners'.

I eat some fish oil pills and some evening primrose oil pills. Pro is usually ON 100% whey and that is about it. No fat burners right now. Oh yeah I was dropping str8 creatine mono in my shake after training but I ran out a few weeks ago.

Talk about minimalist. Saves so much money. I don't care what anyone says, whole food is still the best.
I wonder how you would respond to a 'fat burner' at this point in the game? Even just some black coffee before your morning cardio. Just not anything that would fry your CNS.
You don't get tons of free stuff from your gym? What's the world coming to? lol
    Just a curious thought.
I must say I'm learning a lot from you during this diet stage.
    What are your thoughts?

My current thoughts are, "pizza or beef and broccoli tomorrow?" HAHA!

    Oh, about the supps!!
Well, I'd like to try Daves stuff as I like the idea behind them and understand his dis-taste for stimulants. Would probably work well. But again, they are just that, supplemental. So, since I am poor, I just rely on the good diet and lots o cardio. To be honest the only sup I would really like to toss back in is my pre-training one. Any one really. I've used No-Xplode (liked that one), a bottled one at our gym from ABB (I think) NOS Super PUMPED maybe? Love that thing but 16g carbs so it's out.

I just like pre workout stuff in general. For me I think it is more mental. I like to start sipping something 45 minutes before training and start thinking about the day etc.

Tough choice of food there. A little of both perhaps?
I'm on board with you on supplements. I believe that way way to many people use them as a kind of crutch for a piss poor diet. Never saw a fat caveman.
I do believe that at times, especially through a diet when your metabolism starts to fight back that some of those products can work wonders, but not in replacement of a proper diet for your purposed condition. Remember they never had any of that stuff back in the day, and those guys looked great.
Ribeyes and spicy cajun corn on the cob for me tonight. Yes I can cook up a storm lol
Keep on keepin on my brother.

    Default week 14 averages

    194.1 @ 14.4%

    weight.....down....1.1lbs.
    %...........down....0.1
    fat..........down....0.35lbs.
    muscle.....down....0.75lbs.

So great week last week and not so great this week. So goes the battle. Of course I do think the cheat meals played a large role in both weeks. Remember I hit Mohegan on Monday (this week) which means no cheat meal in last weeks averages and TWO in this weeks numbers! So, no worries.

I just glanced all ALL my weeks numbers in front of me and I started week 1 with 166.05 lean mass and 42.55 fat! My lean has jumped around a bit between 166 and 169 over the past 14 weeks but my fat has steadily dropped, currently sitting at 166.15 and 27.95!! I'd say so far, so good!

So I just took a trip down memory lane and looked back when you first started the diet. Back in the day when you got lean you were 183 at 12%. Now your 11 pound heavier and only 2% higher bf! You've lost roughly 6% body fat to date. That's one hell of a job there big guy! Also remember the people that have crazy success with Dave's diet hire him (Bank) So you're doing fantastic.
    Keep it up!

Thanks bro! I'm workin on it.
I just got done tearin' up PF out in Chicopee for some leg training. I figure why not Sunday since the wife is gone to a DMB concert, I got time to kill and it will open up tomorrow for me. Besides I always do a bit better in the evening than morning.

Felt real good today and now all I have to worry about tomorrow is cardio in the am and cooking my chicken later on

Not to much of a mystery where those legs came from...pounding those huge weights. Dude! 8 plates a side for reps on hack!? I have the same machine at my gym (just started using it a few weeks ago) and I'm good for 2 plates each side for about 6 reps. After that I feel like my heart is going to explode. Hey those stops are a long ways down there for us 6 footers lol
I got legs again tonight. Your leg day has me all hyped to kill it. Thanks bro!
    Great work again.
So for us West Coast people who the hell is DMB?

Todd - You give me too much credit!! 8 a side on the 40 degree sled, not the hack! You crazy bastad! But yes with the Body Masters hack they have I could go 4-5 a side for 10-12 depending.

    DMB = Dave Mathews Band

Oh yeah, my legs are wrecked today!! Must've been an alright day of training. And it's nice havin' today off and chest tomorrow. Good little change.

Ah *knocking myself in the head* my bad I'd have to nickname you Platz.
You put in quite a bit of volume for your typical style. I've been doing a power leg day on Mon. and power on hack and the rest volume on Fri. it's been working pretty good so far. I'll probably switch it up here in a month or so back to one leg day with more exercises for a bit then go back to twice a week.
It's pretty funny to see me going more weight on hack than all but 1 guy in my gym. And that's not saying a hole lot. Nobody uses it cause it's to hard. Ahhhh maybe they want a hug? lol
    Dave Mathews Band. Got it.

Not happy with numbers at night this week so far.
So I hit an hour of cardio this am at 5:30 then ANOTHER hour at 3:30 this afternoon.
    Perhaps that'll help.
