    Default I think I can, I think I can...

    I am trying Daves diet until at least August.
    I only "tried" to get lean once in my life and it was a half assed attempt before our wedding 2 years ago. I did way too much cardio and took in way too few calories. The end result was 183 lbs. @ 12% and flat as hell. I am hoping all the fats in Daves plan keeps my muscle fuller and the zero carbs melt my big ole gut. I would LOVE to be able to stay around 185-190 and reach single digits by Aug 1st.

    Anyone may comment, critisize or whatever. This thread is basically to put a little positive pressure on myself and chart my progress.

    Here is my first video. 5-1-07 @ 210-211 apx 19.9%
    I will try to post a new vid every month.

    Yeah seriously, you've got a lot of muscle under there! I'd say your only weak point is your bi's and once you lean out more they'll look great! Keep at it man, you are going to get more and more psyched as you lean out

    Thanks guys! Appreciate the encouragement. Day 3, no cravings, down 4 lbs. (water mostly I would assume). Pearce I'm 5'8"

    oh yes i want to be lean too ! (:

    your arm circ. is 17 or 18 ?

    Yes sir. With a good pump going, after training arms 18.5.
    The other day completely cold 17.5.
    Go figure.
    Now that I am "dieting", I won't check for a long time. It kills me to see numbers go down... don't want to discourage myself.

    Toddbz, Gaoshang and Grubrunner - Thanks for all the support guys. Normally I would have quit already but this thread and everyone watching definately keeps me more on track. I gotta be honest, Daves diet is not bothering me in the least so far. Only 3 days down, but I know today and tomorrow should be the worst as far as my body still "wanting" carbs.

    I also thought everyone was gonna tear me apart for that first "fat" video. Another reason this board is head and shoulders above the rest!!

    If I did not get ripped apart for being the small fry, you definitely were in no danger of being ridiculed for a little "fat".

    And by the way, I definitely dig the black and white!!

    you look really good!!!! tons of muscle!!! jut follow the diet..do what he says...your body will have no choice but to comply! also....one thing....all the poses were good...but with the side chest....stand taller withouut kinda leaning forward.....and rotate the shoulder backwards....try that and lets see it!

    Ha! Thanks Melissa! I agree totally with your posing advice, I can never get that quite right! My training partner and wife point out the same thing every time! I don't expect to see TOO much too fast so I will post another vid June 1st... hopefully with some good progress and a BETTER side chest
