I think where we're younger we're CRAZY LOL and sometimes those #'s come from ego and showing off LOL then we get a little older and realize that big numbers, TRUE big numbers take time to achieve and maintain

Lol, was your best gym bench a 455lb bounce and go half rep with spotter help?
Most gym rats get humbled in their first strict powerlifting comp. Some of these guys claiming 600 bench in the gym would be struggling with 450 on a strict paused bench.

Good luck on your way to 500.

Get rid of using the press machine and start doing some pause benching. Your numbers will go up.

Thanks, He-man. I have been working at it pretty hard for a couple of years now. I just started using chains, and bands about 3 months ago, and I am already seeing a difference. As far as routines go, I dont follow anything in particular. I have been doing what i feel my body needs, and it seems to be giving me my best results. I like to switch things up alot. From heavy singles and doubles, to higher rep and set workouts.

I believe it was 585 with a single ply inzer, and 600 with the same shirt a week before the contest (I peaked early!) I've done 550 raw with minimal pause.
