Months or rehab and I'd have to be VERY careful. If it gets loose it would be terrible so I will never be able to press heavy again. When I do get the surgery in the future, hopefully 20 years from now LOL, I'd switch to martial arts or boxing or something.

My opinion right now is that I'm getting some great workouts at the gym without the surgery so why get it? I'm holding off as long as possible. I can do light machine presses for chest and pec deck flys and its in proportion...actually getting big again... so I'm happy. Front delts get work from that and rear delts from all the rowing I do. Back workouts are awesome, I just can't do chins/pulldowns and legs are balls out....biggest and most seperated EVER. Arms are tricky but they're up to 18 1/2 inches again hitting them 2-3 times a week...once heavy and once or twice light weight high rep FEEL sets.

I'm pretty happy. My main goal right now is to get down to 250lbs bodyweight....a more streamlined look!!!

Well at least your enjoying yourself and have future plans. Your shoulders must be really beat up! Part of the game I guess.

Bench press has never been my strong point and I've only been training for strength since September. Today I benched my personal best of 260 x 1. Back in September I could only muster 225 x 2.

Not sure what my max is seeing as how my left shoulder is being quite the problem child. I do 225X40 for two sets to get a good burn before I start my working sets which include two more sets with 315 for 15 to 20 reps. My work outs are intense with less that 40 seconds rest in between. I like to keep my heart rate blasting and I get a ridiculous cardio workout as well at that pace...

This is the lift that sucks the most for me. I just recently hit 300lbs and want more. Hopefully by the end of 2009 I can hit 350 or so. It's a good goal if the tendonitis in my elbow goes away long enough to train heavy raw.

Today I put up 275 x 1. It didn't feel that heavy either. I probably could've gone heavier but 275 was the goal i set myself for today. I'm sick as a dog too with a cold.
