    this whole thing is about there being no medical or "real" meaning not bbing slang term that says upper and lower chest.....like they wouldnt say quads or delts or traps....there is no argument it is just the fact.....pec major and minor that is all there is.....damn if you want to pretend there is go ahead......upper and lower chest is a term bbers invented ...period

    There is an "Upper Chest" and "Lower Chest" Which are both a part of the Pectoralis major. There is no Inner Chest or Outer chest. Merely their attachments.

    In my experience yes you can work the "Upper" more than the "Lower"... But it's going to be a difference of like 10-25%.

    There is the pectoralis minor, is under the pectoralis major... And is often confused as being the lower pec. It is not. I strained the damn thing a while back, and got to learn a lot about it... Here's a somewhat informative link.

    If you believe that you can isolate or emphasize the outer 'heads' of the pecs then you must also think that you can isolate the inner head of the biceps, or the outer head of the calf.

    It all works as one connective unit. You can emphasize certain areas a little more than others... But you cannot isolate the upper pecs, outer pecs, quad sweep, lateral head of the triceps, ect, ect.

    I love you both but I garentee you any Pro BBer would dissagree with all of you posts. You can target specific heads or parts of muscles. Read anything by any pro or watch one of their training vids, they'll mention it constantly....Fact.

    Are you telling me that doing a set of preacher curls for biceps hit the bis in the exact same way that a drag curl or hammer curl hits them??

    i do inclines as i love the pump i get from them

    i started doing declines last week and to be honest it was awkward at first but you get use to it and so far it feels good, but i would recommend you drop the weight a little so that you can get a feel for the movement.
