Hey Cedric i read about your training style on your website and i was very interested. What rep ranges do you prefer for off season training? Thanks

FOOD AND GENETICS! I've always struggled with getting enough food in though... Even now I'm having a hard time trying to eat full meals instead of shakes during breaks while I teach.
I didn't start getting "hardcore" with it until 2007 getting ready for the sc state show. I made my way up to a pretty lean 250 the old fashioned way

thanks man. and i honestly believe that you have it in your to become a Mr. Olympia!
I never had a solid off season diet... I ate as much as I could and drunk alot of weight gain shakes.
    3-4 meals, 3-4 shakes

I work to take care of my family, I don't work to be a bodybuilder. I saved tax money and everything to do that show... Then when I had to start buying all that food, it got crazy.
I'm a provider, and Im not one of those guys that will make family suffer and sacrifice for MY dream, that's not fair.
If I did compete it would be me eating my good ol' tuna and grits but I wouldn't be able to make the improvements and progress I could with proper nutrition. Family and work first boo
Thx for answering the question Cedric...

Cedric, im glad you are posting so much on the MD boards. It's really nice to see such a nice down to earth guy like yourself do so well in such a tough sport. I really think you are going to take off in the next couple years because of your humble personality. Bodybuilding has been looking for a great front man and i am sure u r it. Im glad you are really starting to steal the show now. Hope everything is good with you man!

From what I can tell u just need more growth. And I think it's on the way. I'm pretty sure u have tried all types of exercises for chest. Just keep grinding.
I believe that muscle shapes are based on genetics. Just do the exercises that work that overall muscle group the best and when it gets a lil bigger that outer chest will be there.
The exercises I like for chest is:
    pec deck flys
    low & high cable crossovers
    smith machine bench press
    heavy dumbell press

1-how many times a week do you have a cheat meal in precontest?
2-how many weeks do you remove to eat a cheat meal before a precontest?
