Default shoulders and arms going numb while sleeping

about the last 6 months i have trouble sleeping. i cant and never could sleep on my back and I have a hard time finding a comfortable position for my arms. I prefer to sleep on my side with my arms under my pillow but then my arm falls asleep if i put my arms down my shoulder is uncomfortable. I am not what i would consider big but i am bigger then i have ever been and it started when my shoulders got more developed.

Does anyone else have this problem and have a solution. Odd question I know but it is driving me nuts!!

    thanks

I go through spells where this happens. I wake up and my arm is so numb I can't feel myself clenching my fist. Try falling asleep on your back or stomach or maybe try using more pillows or less pillows depending on the number you use now.

I feel your pain bro. Unfortunately there is no cure. Its because your shoulder/waist ratio is disproportioned. Not a bad thing though. Means you have a nice V taper going for ya. Try sleeping on your stomach. Thats what i have resorted to. Make sure you have a well cusioned mattress or a mattress topper cause if you are heavy enough and sleep on your stomach it can make your ribs a lil sore. Im sure there are some more expensive mattresses out there that eliminate this problem, but most of us are too broke to afford them. Lol.

Same exact problem.....Plus I hate when my nuts get squished when I lay on my side. Have to use a body pillow between the legs.

learn to sleep on your back

sometimes ill put an extra pillow on my stomach and rest my arms on it while laying down on my back, usually does the trick

I used to have this problem, I sometimes would wake up with no feeling in my arms. I began holding a pillow when I sleep on my side in between my arms and I have not had the problem since

don't lay on your arms or lay with your arms above your chest.

i've had this problem for years and unfortunately i'm limited to sleeping in a few positions.

it also helps to have a really good bed! i love my tempurpedic

Samething here. Only time it stops is on my back and I snore really loud which causes fights with my gf alot too. Mine burn like they are on fire when they go numb. I hears hgh could be the cause aswell if ur on that. If you find a cure let me know!
