ya man I LOVE 65 and 66 impalas. unfortunately it will not fit on my property
forgot to ask man, what did you have done to the Monte?
I LOVE magnums. They are probably one of the only new throwback cars that look good imo

I just did little exterior stuff. I like the clean look on cars, so I got rid of all the badges, chrome trim (except bumpers), the hood ornament, which required doing some fiberglass work on the front end. Had the quarter panels and rocker panels replaced. New hinges and bushings cuz the doors were sagging. Then new paint that looked like glass!

I like your car man! was it a 78? not many guys go for those montes, but I think they are the nicest ones next to the 70-72 years.
looks clean, and that is actually some expensive work you had to do or had done there!

i thought about the whole "insecure" thing the other day and why people say negative things when you purchase a large suv, sports or lux car, jewelry (im only into watches), nice clothes etc as compensating for some short coming???
as i contimplated that thought process... im thinking im not short, skinny or obese, small dicked, poor (come from nothing though), unintelligent and im blessed with such genetics that people flip when i say im 40 with a 19 year old daughter in college. maybe it's something else? and since you know me so well maybe you can enlighten me perhaps?
as far as you questioning whether im a douche... that's fair. you didn't call me a douche... just questioned it. and my point about having some certain things is only this so let's be crystal.
i came from shit. was taught that i would not be shit, do shit or have shit. i believed that if you cannot get into Ford, GM or Chysler i will always be below poverty. my mother busted her single parent ass to raise this man. she sacrificed much.
low self esteem kept me from athletic success. the army was my post high school move. later i got involved with gangs & drugs as there was not much going onand almost left the planet early a few times.
eventually i got my head on straight, got a degree in sports med, then nursing. i retaught myself that i could be something, contribute and have some nice things in life.
so i like nice shit. so what. i do not have alot yet. a condo, well furnished, some decent clothes and Lincoln MKX, Kawasaki Ninja ZX6RR. but i want more and will strive for it. but it's not my focus.
at the end of the day bodybuilding and material shit aside, i strive to be a good son, father and boyfriend of which she wants to marry someday soon. im an RN.
how many douche's bust ass putting themselves last, nursing, taking care of all kinds of sick. then be a total single parent to two teen girls?
please chime back in cause your opinion matters!

great story. Though you really didn't have to say all that. When people write shit like that, imo it seems like they are looking for a pat on the back, when really their accomplishments should be one. Though I give you credit for your success

Yeah, it was a 78'. I paid cash for all the bodywork so I got a great deal on it. I'd love to have a 70-72, but they're a bit too expensive. I'm not too crazy about anything after 80', and the 73-77's were a bit too big for my liking.

andrewT: was not trying to toot my horn. just putting it out there for those who decided to talk shit to people on the internet that they do not know. how can you pass judgment on someone from a forum? and if they misunderstand your point... clarification can be necessary if you so choose.
my accomplishments are great for me b/c they are mine. not that they outweigh anyone else's. no more. no less.
DEVIOUS INSTINCT: b/c you had your comments and opinions. you did not have to ask.

This is one of the saddest, yet most amusing sights we've ever seen.
A $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron sitting in a salt water lagoon, door open, in two feet of nasty, corrosion-inducing muddy water. While the sight is sad, how the event allegedly transpired is downright hilarious. The unnamed owner of the vehicle, traveling through Galveston, Texas to look at some high-end property, was reportedly talking on his cell phone when a low-flying pelican distracted him. The driver swerved to avoid the big bird, dropped his cell phone, and in the process the front passenger tire hit a mud patch.
A quad-turbo, 16-cylinder engine may be able to get you to 60 mph in under three seconds, but it doesn't work well with mud, so the supercar made a b-line for an adjacent lagoon. The ultra rare Veyron (reportedly one of 15 copies here in the States) was still running after it rested nearly belt-line high in the salt water, as local news affiliate KHOU reported the 1,000+ hp engine "gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died." It probably would have been a great idea to kill power to the engine (and even shut the door) once the Veyron hit the muck, but hey, what do we know?
To watch:
Here' a Video Clip of what the car looked like:
