My personal compromise with bodybuilding ( No rant, and kinda brief)
Obviously I am odds with some of the norms and actual, applied rules of bodybuilding. I also know, that most involved with the IFBB pros, NPC or natural organizations seem fairly happy and content with things, as is.
Since I love bodybuilding, there is only one sensible to thing to do.
Compromise!
I have decided to end any "official involvement" with BB, such as judging.
I am also going to stop posting threads about bodybuilding rules, drugs, and policy.
I am done with worrying about other agendas and ideals; from drugs , to judging standards and bikini divisions, etc.
When I think too much about the policy , rules, judging , etc of bodybuilding, it takes the fun out of it, for me.
The only thing I have absolute control over, is my training, diet and contest ticket selection.
I am going to sit back, enjoy the sport as a fan and Mr Podunk contestant.
'nuff said, Howard

LOL, I still feel the same about drugs, judging, etc, but I have been in a small minority obviously. Most seem happy with the hardcore scene, as is. Why keep being the skunk at the party?
It was taking all the fun out of BB for me anyway.
Toodles, Howard

LOL, I just wamnted to add a quick comment here.
When I simply focus on my training , admire the top guys and accept BB as it is, I am lot happier and enjoy the sport a lot more.
To be 100% honest, I looked at some of my threads , then laughed at mysefl , shook my head in wonder and said to myself, wtf? was the pt. hehe

Thanks. I am trying to stay on the positive side of things now.
I am not being "pollyana" or naive', but going on and on about stuff that won't change doesn't make much sense anyway.
I just wrote/posted a story about my first contest back in 1978. It might make some laugh, or think about thier own times in the iron game.
