  • Undesired Weight Gain Help

Hey folks, noticed a bad thing the other day.

    Story

I have been extremely stressed the past month, having anxiety attacks. This happened while my Trazedone doseage was dropped from 250 to 25 (I was on it for sleep, not anxiety).

Anyway, my appetite increased, and self restraint decreased. Although I have not eaten bad foods, I have been having a lot of stress, a lot of cravings, and been eating a lot more.
Mostly I have been having much larger portions of food, and a lot of carbs.

I was upset yesterday to see I weigh 168, an increase of 7-9 pounds in one month!

My goal, seen in the picture, is to maintain a slim, cut body.
My exercise has been similar, just usually 3 not 4 days in the gym.
I have a fast metabolism and do not do cardio.
I have no doubt the increase is due to uncontrolled snacking and overeating.

I plan to go back to the basic diet in terms of strict portion control.

    Questions:
    1) I wanted to ask, if I do this, go back to the way I ate before the past month, given my fast metabolism, is the weight gain reversible?

    2) Should one month back on the plan be enough to reverse the weight gain in a month?
-Or will it take much longer?
-Or do I need to do more, eat even less, do cardio?

    3) Is it safe to say this unwanted weight gain was fat?

Again, I am usually 5 10 and 160, so I have a quick metabolism, rarely drink alcohol, and have maybe 30 grams of fat per day. Just wanted to know if this is easily reversed as quickly as it started with a return to normal calorie intake.

    -Thanks.

Try it and see. It's one month. If you don't see the results you want with the return of your normal diet, you may have to switch things up.

It is safe to say that if were maintaining on what you were doing before, than simply going back to that plan will only help maintain where you are at now. You need to eat less and exercise more.
Today I will do what you will not, so that tomorrow I can do what you cannot.

Just stay the same if you want keep gaining......a little fat can be reversable you could just throw yourself in a huge deficit for 2-3wks youll be back then start gaining again

LOL sorry...that is funny and oddly true. Teenagers, yes, Tweens....yes. Men weighing 160lbs seems weird unless you're super duper short or sick.
