I dont mind the occasional drainage as long as i dont experience pain or fever...Did the doc tells you what causes it? From my understanding they are just glands that find a way out through the skin

Yes it is a channel that forms from your bowel and the skin near anus. Had surgery three years ago and has not bothered me since.

Rocky that sounds like a peri rectal abscess.....pretty common actually. I hope you went to the doc because it can become a fistula, then you're in trouble
