  • What can Nick do from here? He don't need to get bigger and condition can't get much better either. He can practice and improve in some poses.

But the underlying problem, height, structure and proportions.. will be exposed when it comes to a big show.

Win 10 MO? Lol, I can't even see him in the top 3 of Arnold.

he can go a long way with working on his posing, if he didn't spread his legs so much he wouldn't look so short either.
his front lat spread is probably the pose that needs the most work.

        wow that sounds horrible.

I doubt Nick's family know the in's and out of protocols. Jansen puts on the I'm a nice country boy act

It is crazy that he just started. Just did his first pro show, but I think that he can't be any better, because the main attributes size and conditioning was there. If he gains even more muscles it will only ruin his body even more.. So I really don't know what he should do. When he has crazy size and conditioning and it is not even good enough to be top3 in pro show without top Olympia level guys..

            • You guys are funny. Of course he can get better.

Nick's weaknesses get better the BIGGER he gets.

The way he looked this year at about 15lbs heavier was far more proportionate than last year. Last year it was his back and his waist. Well, his bdb was lights out. If you add muscle and keep waist static, the waist looks smaller.

Nick is 26. I forgive him the 10 Os comment. We all say stupid shit when young.
James H went from 250 to 265 and won a show
Nick will be very hard to beat if he adds 10-12 lbs on everything but his waist

As long as those pounds go to his quads.

Of course this show had a great lineup and Nick has some great poses, but it's hard to make improvements at this point.

Ramy in his first pro show was more shocking.

But Nick has just came off a year of serious improvements. Can't see it stopping for 2-3 yrs.

I predicted these guys would make an impact before they turned pro

                  Nathan
                  Luke
                  and now Nick

Somehow I missed James, but he had one of the above in his corner throughout the prep.

Which is almost mission impossible. He will be ball of muscles with bubble gut. He is simply small for open, but too big for 212.. On the other hand for example our guy Jan Turek is great example of a guy who has already 120kg of muscles, but he has the frame to carry another 10-15kg of muscles easily without runing his lines..

Although especially her mother is very involved in his career I doubt even she wants to know all the details what is happening.
But what do I know, maybe he has it printed on the fridge in case he forgets what he was supposed to take and at what time lol

Anyways on to more positive things.
Very happy about Nick's pro debut. Placing 4th in such a lineup was a big achievement and nothing to be sad/mad about.
That's my point I doubt Nick's mom has any clue to what he's running. Someone else brought it up.

We know that when you improve a lot in a short period of time, as is the case with Nick, the improvements in the medium and long term are almost non-existent.

                          Wrong
He went from competing at 155 to competing at 234 BEFORE this year.
So that non existent improvements consisted of approx 75 lbs of stage weight.

                          • Well.... Nick got a taste of what IFBB Pro bodybuilding is all about! (It gets worse on the Arnold or Olympia stage) ... he did great/ humbled a bit so he can focus on improving (his posing front lat spread is bad ... place hands fists Lower on his waist ) ...more quad sweep ... bigger chest ... condition was outstanding!

                            • Of course he can still improve, he can add mass to his front quad sweep..... But he has to not gain anything on his waist...

its not gonna be easy but i think he has a chance to get B level shows if he can stay healthy long enough..

No, you have misunderstood me, I am talking about improvements from now on.

Putting on size and gaining condition are things a bodybuilder can work on and improve on, and he has done a great job in that regard.
