Not that any death is good, but this one is much easier to accept due to his age. Hopefully it was something without pain. RIP.

He had a heart problem a few months ago.

This one touched me , more then most.
I believe most people, have stronger feelings when they experience someone in person.

No, I wasn't a close friend of Chris D. and interacted with him once, briefly at my 1st contest.
He was at the AAU Mr Eastern Seaboard and I placed in the teen div ( age 19) .
Chris Dickerson presented the trophies to our division.

I know it sounds trivial and sappy, but it was a cherished BB memory for me.
Over 43 later and I still have a clear, vivid memory of that interaction.
He was a gracious, classy gentleman and it was a real honor for me.
Chris had on dress shorts and polo shirt. When I looked down and saw his calves ...OMG

Ok, I'm biased , but I always admired how Chris Dickerson carried himself as pro BB.

Unlike many modern era pros, he lived into old age.
He left this world , 4 decades after he climbed to the top of Mt Olympia.
