I am sorry to hear that, but according to his obituary, he lived a good long life , passing at age 87.
I never met the man, but will never forget his strong NY accent , messing with Arnold as they tanned on Venice beach ( Pumping Iron)

In 1986 my brother and I went on vacation to venice beach we were into bodybuilding and we wanted to train in golds ,worlds and the muscle beach pit.we went to world gym to train and we met eddie he could have not been a nicer guy and when we told him we were from new york he let us train there for free the whole week because he was from new york. we saw matt mendenhall there ali malla edwardo kawak and bertil fox. rip eddie
