I liked what Derek said about the class of 212, but Iain also made a good case for removing it.
Derek completely stole the show at Pittsburgh, all eyes were on HIM, not Nick.

Nick was a solid 3rd, not bad at all. But second? Nope.MD Global Muscle Radio ep.40-https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-MIKWx8sAcw&t=5319s

Just because people on the periphery want to see him compete and want to create these drama stories and rivalries. The sport is hard enough without those jackwagons trying to stir things up.
Derek has a plan for his physique and his career and has some solid ass guidance from one of the sports best. I'm glad to see him sticking to it and giving all the riff raff the Heisman pose.

Bodybuilding fans just like to argue, fight, hypothesize and speculate -- and that's pretty much "what fuels the fandom". What-if after what-if, and nothing more.
The social media thing has made this more rampant than ever, of course -- and every pundit has his own castle of hypotheses about "what COULD and SHOULD happen". That never existed back in Coleman's day. Coleman did what Coleman thought made sense, and fans just appreciated it when he hit the stage.
Nowadays, the "market" is all "putting your opinion forth, and arguing". Fans will watch endless hours of that. Fans on this message board will fight back and forth to the death about it. Every single person will openly say, "Well, I know we don't know until we see them -- but just for fun, what do you think would happen if Andrew Jacked shows up shredded with much bigger hamstrings, blah blah blah".
A person (like Derek) is no longer "allowed" to make his OWN decision as to what HE thinks is best for HIM.
Reagan decided to sit out the Olympia -- and Giles and many others turned it into a capital case as to "what that was wrong and didn't make sense". (Not attacking you Giles, lol. Just saying -- the critics have become more important than the athletes, in a lot of ways).
Just let these people do what they think makes sense FOR THEM.

Regan jumping the Olympia made sense, we know he's not a high-flying athlete and he's big on social media.
Derek made a good case for not doing the Arnold.
Ramy and Andrew, it seems like a rash and wrong decision, respectively.http://betionastore.es/

I'm sure Hany has a better idea of their goals and what's best for Derek than anyone else.
Derek gain about 20 pounds of stage weight last year. It taxes the body. He needs time to rebound. I'm guessing the goal is to beat Hadi. Hadi isn't doing the Arnold. I'm sure Hany and Derek have a handle on the situation. Hany is in an excellent place his two clients pushing each other great for motivation

I think the fact Lunsford is thinking about his health at 29 years old is damn good!!! He knows what is best for his body. This kid has a good head on his shoulders, a good coach and God on his side! I think he will shock everyone with the physique he displays in November!
