The way this is listed out sounds like the "what is good in life?" Question in Conan the Barbarian.

          1) crush your enemies 2) see them driven before you
          3) hear the lamentation of the women

THAT is the main attraction for me since day 1.

I'm old and nobody cares how I train , so I really get into it now. I'm excited to start doing the old double split per day at 2 different gyms routine.

Do only 1 body part for 20-30 min followed by 20 min of intense cardio .
Repeat in the evening with a different body part and cardio machine.
To me , that's fun...how fucked up is that hahaha

Ya leave feeling totally pumped, spent and exhausted...like your whole body cracked off a nut hahaha.

Figuring out what music I want to listen to on that day (ideally, which album). Musician first, bodybuilder second, I realized over time that training was often my excuse to just lose myself in music that I loved, with no other distractions. Used different albums repeatedly during different contest preps, and years later, when I listen to those albums, it takes me back to clear memories of how I felt -- grinding on the stepper, grinding under the squat bar, etc. Preworkout, without the chemicals.

Great post and getting lost in the music while training has improved a ton with cell phone music apps and wireless headphones.

I don't have to talk to anyone else unless I want to , with those puppies on....and I usually don't.

That the same as getting into a 'zone' ?
That's pretty much how I am as soon as...
                              - I reach minute 10 on the bike
                              - 1/2 scoop pre has a slight impact
                              - after kwan loong applied
                              - the headphones switch to a playlist
