  • Samson vs Lunsford vs Hadi

This could potentially be the top 3 in November.

How do they stack up against each other? Hadi would be the hardest, Lunsford has a front double that is as pretty as Samson and Lunsford has that crazy back double but Samson has a 300lb physique with perfect proportions.

It's going to come down to conditioning for Samson and Lunsford who ever is dug out is going to prevail

In my mind it depends on what improvements Andrew makes. I am going to make it a point to not make any predictions based on social media postings or YouTube videos ahead of the O this year.

My gut tells me that there are 4 possible winners this year - Hadi, Derek, Samson, Andrew.

I believe for Nick to win he would have to be better than he has ever been and all 4 of these guys would have to be off. Not happening.

As far as the others, I don't care how much of a gift Hunter gets he will be lucky to be in the top 10 given his limitations. Krizo even diced would be around 5 at best. Iain will be confident until it all falls apart again and the others are either sliding or the ones with potential aren't ready for the top spots yet.

Wilkins and Fitzwater will not be a factor. Maybe - maybe just maybe Quinton can make some noise. Good Vito will be last year's Krizo. And God please spare us the Boogeyman sideshow this year

For Nick to win, the other guys have to be off. They just flow better than he does. I do think Krizo has a legit shot at top 5 if he is in condition and gets his posing down.

Lunsford has amazing proportions, but let me suggest some heresy here, they're more "cartoonish", and not necessarily in a good way (if that makes sense?). I think it looks great in the front relaxed (don't like how he poses his legs), and great in the rear double, but it sort of holds him back in his lat spread. Samson has more "pleasing and esthetic" lines, more athletic, partly just due to his height and stretching those pretty lines out on a longer bone structure. Samson will struggle to hang with Lunsford in the back shots, but I feel like he buries him on the front shots, even from an esthetic perspective.

Blasphemy you say! Kidding of course. I think if anything his cartoonist roundness will hold him back if he doesn't get the deep separation needed. There is so much muscle and roundness that almost looks puffy and blown out in his delt/chest area. However, I believe Hany has that targeted and will be far improved this year

He is my early pic for champ this year but really I think it is a toss up between him and Hadi. Samson 3rd. Those are my far too early predictions

Lol, I knew that wouldn't go over well. But I agree, his upper from the front looks sort of "bloofy" (not just chest, but arms in the front double, not a lot of separation -- and even his delt caps seem to almost get "lost" on his lat spread). Looks great from the side and the back, maybe just needs more maturity. If Samson has the ability to keep bringing his back up, AND can get harder, he could be "the closest to Coleman" we're gonna' see. And that's where that taller frame could pay off. Better core structure than Coleman, but needs deeper abs.

I think Hadi is more beatable than others say -- density for days, but doesn't have a great leg structure/sweep, and is a smidge top heavy -- side tri isn't world-beating, rear double isn't world-beating.

I'll say it again, I think it's great just having multiple guys all at that high of a level, all of whom could win on any given day.

I'm going to put this out there - just to think about. If I'm looking at the 3 we are talking about here Samson, Derek, Hadi and each of them could win depending on how they continue to improve...which coach do I have the most confidence in? Love Milos but Hany is as good as there is for making improvements and nailing it on the day of the show

Agreed and you know there is no way Samson makes any changes after just winning the Arnold so I still think it will be the other two battling for 1 and 2

Samson won't leave Milos, he is a loyal person, and Milos doesn't want to lose his winning horse either. It's a shame because his progress will slow down, or even coul be regress.

The way I see it, Hadi and Derek are more concerned by Samson than Nick.

Plus Samson will improve more than Nick can or will from now until the Olympia.
