Those particular promoters are DONE mate. The mess they left for Arnold means they are finished in that game now.

Arnold didn’t get paid AND Arnold stepped in to pay Ronnie & Jay’s fees (two that I know of as Ronnie told me of his & Jay’s) amongst others I can imagine.

Plus many people who bought VERY expensive tickets for the meet the stars from the FIRST year (2021) STILL haven’t even had refunds! (Talking thousand pound tickets here too!)

Not sure of validity of source, but I did hear the Arnold USA promoters might step to to be the sole promoters of the UK version themselves.

That would make perfect sense as the NEC and vendors are all good to go for a WELL organised Arnold! They picked up where Bodypower (NEC, same venue in Birmingham) left off but those con artists f’ed it right up.

I read the other day that the sponsors who had acquired space for the Arnold in the year of Covid are still waiting for reimbursement, and that this was one of the reasons why they have not returned to sponsor the show, do you know more about this mate?

There’s a LOT of people (spectators, vendors, stars) that are still waiting for reimbursement mate, BOTH years.

A lot of people lost a lot of money. True.

Arnold and his brand got screwed big time. He had to back away when he did.

I don’t mind Columbus mate, I’m used to it now.

I just never get why the town doesn’t really step up its game when the Arnold is in town, like restaurants staying open longer, cabs being more available, stuff like that.

Fun fact!

2011, was the very first Arnold other than the Columbus original.

It was the Arnold Europe in Madrid, I was there covering for MD with Flex Wheeler.

Watched some of the amateur too, Tim Budesheim won the juniors, he was twice the size of the others! Huge.

A 14 year old Argentinian girl won her class in the bikini amateur that sparked a major controversy and that the NPC then brought new minimum age rules in place of because of the backlash. FOURTEEN!!!!!!

Flex Lewis did the open, made top 5!

Ronnie launched his supplement brand RCSS at this event, I interviewed him for MD, the booth was mobbed and Ronnie and I had to move as the wall of the booth was starting to look as if it was going to collapse there were so many people by it! I said “Ronnie, I think we should move mate!” As I pointed to the wall, he replied “I think you’re right Giles!”

And this was the one Victor Martinez won then got detained for several months on his way back into America.

And my girlfriend (at that time) who was recording for me at the end of my 14 minute wrap-up with Flex Wheeler said “umm guys, I forgot to press record!”

Um yeah, so, super interesting trip ha ha.
