We have all seen what happens when a gifted athlete elects to hermetically seal themselves away from the rest of the world outside of men’s bodybuilding and approaches each and every day as if it matters. Because it does.
Granted, it was right before the Internet became “a thing”, but the benefits were indisputable. Go far, far away from the center of that universe and focus on being the best at ONE thing. Being the biggest, hardest, and best men’s open bodybuilding champion the world had ever seen.
One man did it better than ANYONE, before or since.
Dorian Andrew Mientjez Yates
And frankly, I am convinced that the Internet is largely responsible for the spate of over-muscled, chemical abusing man children we are forced to tolerate today. They bring a whole new meaning to the term “juice box”.
We ALL have trials and tribulations that we must learn from to grow into better and stronger individuals. In my younger days (I’m sure it’s the same for many of you here now), the training WAS the therapy. It was for guys like Dorian and Tom and many others. Go watch Ed Corney training in Pumping Iron and try to tell me that man wasn’t exorcising some demons in Golds every day.
Sergio Jr. still has the potential to do great things? But until his MIND is right, we will all be left to wonder “what if?”.

I just heard on one of the click bait update channels that Sergio has gone to Spain and is going to be trained by Dorian. I give that about a week before he has some reason why he can't continue or it's not right for him. You talk about where the rubber meets the road! My God. Someone that never seemed to take it seriously enough or commit enough or sacrifice enough jumping in with both feet with probably the most Spartan-like Mr O of all time. I just have an image of a side of beef being throw ln into a wood chipper
