  • Updated Pics! 5 Weeks out ... progress report

Alright everybody. Its another week closer to Muscle Mayhem. Here I am at 5 weeks out. 2lbs lighter than last week ... puts me at 205 right now. obviously i want to make the lightheavy class at 198 ... not too worried about getting there though. just want to make sure i come in full ... i know i look flat in these pics but i've been keto for 10 weeks ... what can you expect.

im able to get a decent pump at the gym and still feel strong so im not planning on changing too much up. what do you all think ... on track or should i be adding in more cardio. IM up to 60 min per day upon rising empty stomach.

    thanks

You look great -- I'll defer to the guys w/ competition experience and probably can gauge your rate of bodyfat loss better than I can (women fight hard toget down to 7 lb off competition weight before peak weak!) -- my personal opinion is that if you have only 7 lb to lose & 5 weeks to do it, including water drop, I'd probably drop the amount of cardio -- you'd rather time it to come in at the top of your weight class than somewhere in the middle.....

Looking good! Great V-taper in the front spread but you're still tilting a little in that pose... looks like you're about to fall down. Conditioning is on for this far out though! Good luck.

Hey GymRat, Adam is correct. If things are going well dont change it. Last you want is to slow your progress then have some weight to lose last minute!
It's better to lose the weight now and coast in, then have some crash diet and tons of cardio which will cause you to most likely come in flat and smooth...not to mention lose some lean mass

cool. thanks for the advice. sometimes it takes another set of eyes to help keep you on track.

i trained quads tonight and felt weak and soft. sucks. i know its all in my head. these last few weeks of contest prep always get to me. ugggghhhhhh.

So that's why I was deferring -- guys seem to cut up a lot easier than women do -- if you're conditioned to doing the 60 min, then stick w/ it. I'd just watch if it seems like you're starting to lose muscle. But if everythign is humming along, you've found 'the zone' and just let your body do what it does best.

Looking really tight -- great lat detail showing on your front lat!

                      Looking great bro,

But my 2 cents is don't bother with what the scale shows....at this stage I'd pay more attention to what the mirror is telling you....even if you come in 5 lbs lighter than what your shootin for, it doesn't mean squat...cause when you're on stage...the more shreaded you are the bigger you look!!

                      But great job!...keep it up!!
