  • help me pick my contest time (pics)

i was planning on doing a show which is about 10-12 weeks from now and started my diet about 20 weeks out. about 3.5 weeks into the diet i had some things going on i started missing gym sessions and was not able to do what i needed.
since then everything was out of order but now its good and im the same weight and bf despite the lack of training as frequent and shitty diet.
i am currently cutting starting today even if im not doing a show for a bit. i know i will not be in great shape on 10-12 weeks diet. i have another option to do a show about 16 weeks from now. and then the other optopion would be to take a full year off and do a show around next summer. the reason for this would be to bring up some of my weak points.
i really would like to improve my back thickness and overall delt size before my first show but im just eager to get my feet wet.
heres some pics there from around the time i started my last diet, i tend to stay the same bf year around and am currently the same weight as these pics.
    thanks

i saw go for it, you can def be in shape in 12 weeks, i wouldnt wait a year to compete.. do you have any idea how many people say tha tand just keep putting it off year after year.. if you never get into contest shape you will never truly know what to bring up, plus contest dieting gives u a great rebound to actually put on quite a bit LBM... you just need to put a plan 2gether.. if your a first time competitor i would strongly encourage you to hire someone to help you with your diet.. i.e. layne or someone of that caliber.. it does two things for you..

      A. Takes the guess work out of your nutritional plan
      B. You learn a ton about how to prep for a show
      C. It gives you accountablity in that you have a certian diet you have to follow

      Just my .02 cents

you look damn good bro....Id do it if I were you without a doubt. dedicate urself to one of them & go 4 it. make a plan & stick to it, which ever show u choose, get up there as soon as possible. The more you do ,the more you learn about your body & it will only benefit you for future shows.

Not to hijack this thread but for a first timer like him who else, other than layne, would you suggest to hire for contest prep for someone starting out at his level...at a reasonable price of course?

RazorRipped who has a "Q and A" in the Chemical Enhancement Forum is top notch. Post up in his thread, he really is on top of his game.

honestly i really liked layne.. he will get you in the best shape possible without killing you on some type of pro/veggie diet and 3 hours of cardio a day

hire him the whole prep.. if you arent pretty close to shredded at 4 weeks out there isnt much he can do..

Skip, Layne, Dave, Broser, RR, etc. are all respectable

why not ask all of them the details of things and go from there
