    so i just got done reading this thread in the no bull section and it was talking about layne or dave. this guy was wondering on who to choose for training purposes.

    anyways, a lot of people were arguing about how dave's training and keto style diet doesen't work for naturals. i'm pretty confused on what to do because i was planning on starting that kind of diet for my show but now i'm confused!

    low low low carbs or low carbs....that is the question.

    need help asap.

      But see, either you lost a ton of muscle of really flattened yourself out, you cant possibly lose 10 lbs of fat in a week. Now your cell is dry and high catabolic.

      My point has been all along that it works to shed weight no doubt, but I cant see how its the best for a natural getting ready to COMPETE. Just wanna drop weight, sure does work, you bet, want to compete and hold to every ounce of muscle I believe naturals need to try to mimic the wetness that anabolics provide, how can they do that without anabolics, carbs and gdas to contorl insulin.

      However, there are MANY MANY ways to skin a cat.

      If you are set on it, try it out, thats the best way to know.

      Also I believe that if you are blessed with great muscle bellies its not as noticeable, but I was flat as shit on that and my weak areas REALL stood out when i tried the keto way back last year.

      Trial and error.

        I remember the difference from the MASH to the Northern Night and day for six monts you should post those two pics if you have them to show the huge difference between dieting high carb and keto for you.

            That depends on a lot of factors. When is your show or D day? What bodyfat currently at? I also take into consideration ones bodytype as Ive found endos really do need less carbs and can take a freaking pounding and still hold lean mass, and they need to be pounded on to lose normally to be show ready. I dont take them keto or anything but they would go lower than I ever would as far as macro % of carbs in the diet. Where I might stop at 150 below saturation I had one endo that needed to go to 225 under saturation to continually lose and still didnt lose lean mass. But for him that was still around 200 carbs per day.

            It REALLY depends, Id at least need to know someones lean body mass and weight.

            gdas, I recommend what my good buddy Tipsta touts, 200 mcg Chrom Poly and 10 mg van sulf with higher carb meals or meals 1,2, 5 & 6 on my diet where carbs area always present. I put them together in one pill offered at my site under Slin Trol, very affordable supplement.

            Play around with when to take them, first bite or last bite. Last bite in theory makes more sense for offseason to still get more of a spike of insulin since its so anabolic, but then to better aid it to shuttle those nutrients.

              Your GDA protocol is regardless of bodyweight, I assume? How about magnesium and r-ala?

                I used r-ala in the past I think it was decent, but it didnt give me that full dry drug look either that the ones I discussed above can provide. Its a different look. So I prefer the ones Ive mentioned.

                Know nothing about magnesium though as a gda. I know B vitamins could be used but not that successfully I dont think.

                    Scoobysnacks, I'm doing my first show on October 25. I'm down to 211 from 225 and I'm 176lbs. lean body mass. My body fat is very high at 19%, I've come down 1% since starting my diet. This weekend I let a small amount of carbs into each of my meals and had 10mg Vanadyl and 200mg Chromium 3 times a day. My pump was incredible when I hit legs today, but since I'm a novice I was wondering if I was doing this correctly..Thanks for your help..

                      I dont have enough info to tell you if you are doing the gdas right.

                      But I can tell you your diet is WAY OFF, I mean WAY OFF.

                      if you have went from 225 at 20% to 212 at 19% you lost A LOT of muscle and I advise you to fix your diet, do something different even if its wrong, because what you are doing is WAY OFF.

                      Post it.
