  • 6lbs to lose in 24h to make the lightweights help!!

    Ok so i cut my water out at 5pm, I'm using herbal diuretics (max dose) and a mild laxative.
    But what the fuck do i eat??? Do i further deplete by only eating boiled meat every 3 hours until the weigh-in or do i start eating dry rice cakes???

    Its currently thursday afternoon, weigh-in is tomorrow night friday at 8pm.

    I'm 160 lbs and i need to be 154 on the dot or under...

    And how much sauna or cardio is necessary?

    Please this is for a big show!

    I'm also running arimidex, chromium, potassium...

        2 things


        1) either you didn't get in shape fast enough and are now trying some last minute tricks thinking it will make you better

        2) or you're perfect at 160 and shouldn't be depleting just to make a weight class as you could end up ruining yourself by show day just to be in a different class



        I dont mean to sound grim, but at this point I'd do everything as you originally planned and don't try to dick around with so many variables in the last 24-36 hours

          So ur using a max dose of diuretic, a laxative, cutting sodium and adding potassium? Then you want to throw your fluid balance off more by sitting in a sauna? I dunno man, the homeostasis in your body is f*cked. All I can say is be careful...

            I don't know how to help you but I will just say - BE CAREFUL. I think if you posted this a few days ago you would've been better off but all the best. I think you can do it.

              obviously since you cut water you will no doubt lose water overnite... 6lbs isnt that much to lose overnite provided you cut water properly. but IMO -more importantly--hows ur condition?

                I agree with He-Man, be careful, brother.

                From my time cutting for powerlifting/wrestling competitions, I recommend:

                1.) the sauna, but for no more than 30 minutes at a time
                2.) sucking on a boiled penny and spitting into a cup (a boiled penny is the best because it doesn't eat the enamel on your teeth)
                3.) chewing/dipping to spit

                        listen i understand your concern, but I've already competed last sunday as a middleweight, and the lineup was tuff, I didn't place top 5, and i need top 3 this week-end as a lightweigt.
                        I've dropped 10lbs since monday!

                          I'm 3.5% bodyfat and I've lost 10lbs since monday doing no carbs and cardio.
                          I competed last sunday as a middleweight but i couldn't crack the top 3 and i need to make top 3 this saturday to compete at the nationals.

                            dropping all that weight doesnt necessarily increase your odds of doing better

                            you could end up looking 5 times worse at the lighter weight from depleting so much and end up last

                            and honestly if you didn't qualify for nationals then that might be something to think about....if you're having that much trouble qualifying, should you really be so content on competing?

                              Sounds like you already have your mind set. How do you plan to carb up without spillover? I'd be worried that the large amount of water you have expelled from your body will leave you looking very flat and stringy, so you will need something to fill you out...
