  • Using low dose Test Enth precontest

    Hi guys,

I am on HRT & have a show coming up in 6 weeks.

I use 175mg Test Enth per week with 415 iu HCG on the 2 preceding days of the test shot to keep my balls working.

I am aware that bodybuilders drop test esters such as Primoteson a couple of months before a show due to water retention issues blurring definition. Their dosages though are a lot higher than 175mg per week.

So my quetion is, will 175mg test enth per week blur my defintion for my show? I am currently around 6% bf &, while I am not bloated, I seem to have a little water subq. My sodium intake is only from what is naturally occurring in unprocessed foods & my water intake is approx 1.5 gal/day.

I know I will look fuller come show day If I continue with the test but would rather come in peeled if it means I have to drop the test.

My E2 levels are in the upper end of normal range & I cannot take Arimidex as I will be tested for it on the day (I have a Theraputic Exemption from WADA for the Test Enth as I am hypogonadal).

Your feedback on this will be much appreciated guys.

    You will be fine.

You can run it way higher right now since it makes sense to be more anabolic since your body is prone to losing muscle mass these last weeks and then cut it out completely 2 weeks out. You will honestly drop about 4-5lbs of water in 2 weeks and look great for show time.

          Thanks Vinny.

I have a just had a TUE (Theraputic Use Exemption) application rejected from WADA for the T so I guess I can't run it now anyway.

I understand that detection time for Test Enth is ~3 months but
does anyone know if running low dose (175mg p/week) Test Enth up until 7 weeks out would show positive on a urine test?

probably will show positive ; but you don't have many options here. i'm on hrt also and if i go 7 weeks without it my total test levels drop to nothing[ 47 ] was my test level last time i went that long without it!!! and if yours drops that low trust me you will loose a lot of muscle not to mention all the other sides from low test!! you may have to consider doing a non tested show.

                Thanks Matt.

I have kept my balls working during my TRT with HCG i.e. I expect my Test levels will not drop too low as I am not shut down.

I have pretty much commited to doing the upcoming natural show so I guess I will have to hope I don't get tested.

If I do, I will advise the tester that I was on TRT (physiological dosage) up until 12 weeks out & discontinued once my TUE was rejected. I will take all appropriate paperwork/blood work to show my levels were always within normal range whilst on TRT.

I'm hoping this may be enough to justify positive test result.

I would not expect that my T/E ratio would be too high anyway being on physiological dose & discontinuing 8 weeks out.

                What do you think??

I think you should contact the promoter and discuss NOW. You dont want that coming back on you, plus unless the promoter says its fine, its kinda shady. I personally wouldnt feel right about doing a natural show and "hoping" I dont get caught. Plus you will be nervous and worried all day, why deal with that.

Also some of these orgs announce those that fail the test to the public, online, in a newsletter, etc, do you want to be associated with "cheating" in this day and age.

Call the promoter and explain. They deal with similar questions all the time. If he/she says no, then pick an NPC show.

                  My advice, anyways.

                  GL,

                  Ss

                    thx Scooby. Good advice.

I will give 'em a call & see what they say.

I just don't want to be dwarfed by guys running gear in a NPC event (FYI: I have never touched AAS - I am secondary hypogonadal & have been prescribed test enth to get my levels within normal range).

I am in agreement with Scoobs. We don't need more scandal in the world of BB. As far as competing in a non-tested show, try to bring the best you to the show and don't worry about the competition. Even at tested shows, there are always guys that are bigger and better, but if you do your homework and present your best package you can stand tall knowing you gave 100%. Good luck to you. Mark

always gouig to be big guy's at non tested shows. i'm doing one saturday thats why i lost extra weight[and probably some hard earned muscle] to drop to 176 masters class. got tired of standing next to guys weighing as much as 278 and me at 187!!! just bring your best package to the stage and see what happens. judges still like to see a ripped to the bone competitor!!

EXACTLY. I guess I never knew any better, I started competing before the internet and all they have in my neck of the woods are NPC shows. Ive competed in dozens naturally and done quite well usually winning my class and at least pushing the larger guys in the overall.

Truth be told, if you are a lighter competitor you may even fair a better chance. Some of the natty orgs divide guys by height. So even though Id be in the short class and compete around 150 some dude could be 5'5" and 190, but Id go against him in the open. In the NPC it would be 143 1/4 to 154.

Preparation (shredded) and genetics (nice structure/shape) will beat purely drugs all the time.

Do your thing dont worry about others.

Let us know if the promoter approves it.

Thx all for your advice & encouragement. i didn't realise so many natty's in similar situation (on stage in with enhanced bb's in non-tested events)

I assumed most natty's stuck to tested events because of the disadvantage they have in being clean.

I will just focus on bringing in my best package - I guess that is all one should really aim for anyway (very hard though to fill out a 6ft4 frame without AAS).

Scoob - I have contacted the organisation president & they have requested the reports, tests TUE etc be sent to them for further assesment. I'll let you know on outcome.

If rejected, there are other non tested shows around same date so it's good to know my prep wont be for nothing.

                              SOA,
I know how you feel. I am a 42 yo natty, am just a tick under 6'4" and just competed 2 weeks ago at 192lbs. I did a natural show this time, but competed at the Emerald Cup in Seattle last year (biggest NPC show in the NW, untested) at the same weight in the master's heavy class. I finished 6 out of 8 so didn't get to do a routine, but had a blast, was proud of my physique and it turned out to be cheaper to compete than to just go see the show.
Be proud of yourself for having the drive and commitment to doing a show regardless of your placing. Remember, as soon as you choose to compete you have just slipped into the big pond where 95% of the best bodies in existence live. Train Hard! Mark
