  • Arthritis In The Hands

OK, heres the story, when I was 16 I completely shattered 1 knuckle on my left hand and badly damaged two others (someone put their head on my fist ) anyway I was warned that I may suffer arthritis later in life, but being young it didn't really matter, now at 29 I have been getting progessivly worse in terms of grip, I get shooting pains doing any heavy lifting and have had to resort to using straps during back workouts, I went to the docs he diagnosed arthritis and said I was lucky it hadn't happened sooner.

Anyway as I now have to live with this and it is not going to get any better has anyone any suggestions to help slow down it's progression in the long term and to ease the pain when it gets bad.
I was thinking of using deca on and off as needed (with test to prevent deca-dick) as there are studies showing it helps in arthritis, only problem is all the ones i've read are with regards to post-menopausal women, but any links to studies regarding adult males would help.

Suggestions are appreciated, particularly any steroids that may help as part of a stack.

I'm assuming that you are already on a chondroitin/glucosamine/msm regimen? Also, I've been hearing so much about Cissus lately that I decided to give it a try. So far so good. It helps connective tissue, arthritis, anything to do with the joints. I assume you already know that GH is good for the joints too.

Hey David , Arthritis is could be treated by natural means
I would recommend you use dmso twice daily on the area
And use two drops of Oregano oil 80% only in some juice or water
And drink half your body weight in oz's so if your 200lbs
      drink 100 oz's of water
I don't ever recommend using steriods for such things because i see them as short term solutions to what could be a long term problem
which you would be mearly masking and big mikes rec about the
ch/gl/msn is also a good idea

      Peace
      John

Thanks guys, I've just ordered some glucosamine, gotta admit i'm still a bit undecided about glucosamine/chondroitin etc, my grandma has been using them for a few years and her arthritis is no better, she is in her eighties though!, I do have age on my side I suppose. Will look into the oregano oil as this sounds interesting. I've always heard DMSO smells, but If it relieves the pain it may be worth it (I could always add fina to it )

Plenty of things for me to research though so thanks again.

          Anti-inflammatory and analgesic/anesthetic (Pain reliever)
Oil of Oregano is an athlete's best friend due to its anti-inflammatory and anesthetic action. Applied externally, the oil deeply penetrates tissues and in so doing, brings relief and speeds healing and reduces the pain of bruises, sprains, torn and sore muscles, tendonitis, cramps, carpal tunnel syndrome and other similar injuries. Arthritis responds well to this treatment. A topical rub can be made by mixing some Oil of Oregano with cocoa butter or similar.
