So I have had shoulder pain for alomst 8 months now. Doc had me on anti inflamatories and an MRI done but nothing showed up. It seems their is a lump on my shoulder. Is this from inflammation? What can I do in order for me to be able to bench pain free again?

I had an MRI and the ortho said it showed no visible tear. He said if the pain continued that they could pursue an exploratory surgery. Just dig around in there to see what the MRI may have missed.
I've opted to avoid that opportunity as my pain is not severe. My benching sucks but it's pretty much always sucked. One recommendation would be to switch to dumbbells for your benching and have the bottom of the stroke end with your palms facing each other. You may also want to shorten the range of motion.
Patient: Doc, it hurts when I do that.
Doctor: Don't do that!
Please post a follow-up.

That combined with repetitive overuse of my shoulder during marathon sessions on the computer (and seated in an especially non ergonomic seating arrangement) could be the joint culprits.
If I had all the time in the world and all the medical coverage available, I'd probably have a doctor look around in there. They'd do that with a scope? There's a great "shoulder injury" thread over on bb.com where the question was recently asked, something like, "If you could have the choice of whether or not to get your rotator cuff surgery performed again or not, would you have it done?"
The overwhelming response has been: "YES!"
I'm sure some have had less than satisfactory results, but it's been 100% from the group replying over there.
I hope you get some relief. Thankfully, my shoulder hasn't been so awfully bad.
