I suggest seeing a doctor. Needless to say you should be icing it frequently.

doc wont do a thing for it so dont bother.
take a week off from everything. cardio etc.
ibuprofen, ice, rest on soft cushions, limit walking, lots of low back stretching when you do start back.
if you hve zero improvement in 1 week, see your doc for anti-inflamatories or pain meds.

thats what i figured. NOt much they can do for it.
I swear to god want to puch the person right in the fucking face who hurt me.
I cant afford to take a fucking week off.
I did back today, Dead lift, bent over rows t bar so on and so on....lets talk about a level 10 pain.

so i guess my stupidity fucked it up more by doing this.

then after that i pull off the 45 plate off the bar and some how my leg got stuck in the middle of the bar and weight and i pulled the weight off with my skin...GUSH blood every where lol!

then i had a huge blister on my heel
i just went to the bathroom and cried lol how fustrating

I beg to differ. If she is in alot of pain, the doc can indeed tell you whether or not it's broken. If indeed it is then rest/recovery is imperative. Your bodies center of gravity deviates between S2 and the pubic bone, the tailbone is VERY close to that and if broken can literally FUCK you up by throwing your mechanics out of sync.

no disrespect mike, but being married to an orthopedic surgeon and having myself worked in an ER, the field and a burn center for 20 years, of course they can tell you it is broken. but what good is that information to the common person? is there PT or OT that will make it better? rest/ice/anti-inflams IMO.

Not throwing credentials out there but I myself have a BS/MS in Ex. Physiology with over 20+ years working as a personal trainer with people of varying populations and backgrounds so I'm not exactly a slouch here, LOL.

Maybe we're sorta agreeing here. Someone who goes into a gym and deadlifts is not a common person, let alone with a broken tailbone. Obviousy rest/ice and anti-inflammatories are the modus operandi in treatment but she'll do herself more harm if she continues to train through it. That was my point, plain and simple and she doesn't know if it's broken.

                  and we agree.
from my perspective, having had to professionally deal with similar injuries: broken toes, muscle strains etc, it gives the patient peace of mind knowing what the problem is. my problem (mine as in ME!) is that so many people see their physicians or the ER for mundane issues that some education about their own bodies would help them solve on their own.
either way, i hope Powermania is getting some relief...

A while back I suffered bruising to the tail bone, caused by cardio believe it or not, the position I was sitting in on the damn bike was putting too much pressure on the tailbone. It took several weeks to fully heal and it was only bruising. I may not have the credentials of the guy's above but my advice is to see a doc and rest, no matter how frustrating that may be.

                        frustrating it is....!

a pain it the ass fo sho!

Its not getting any better either.
it kept waking me up last night and i been icing it, and taking anti's.

Im not sure whats going on with it... but im a little upset over the fact that its injured. Its hard to say what it is, bruising, fracture, or tissue damage. Its not worth going to the dr when all they will do is give me a donut and i paid 250 dollars out of pocket for them to tell me that.

                        its just fricken frustrating.

                        did i mention its frustrating?
