  • Masters Nationals in Pittsburgh July 2007

    http://www.bodybuildingreviews.net/C...Nationals.html

See my contest report for the 2006 show. Pix of 2006 competitors are now available on http://www.repetrope.com/men/contest...mpetitionID=88 & its paysite, http://www.usamuscle.com

Is anyone planning on doing the Masters Nationals this year? Four pro cards for men are on the line (2 for over 40, 1 each for over 50 & over 60).

As a Master Pro who has competed as a Pro, I am not elegible to enter the NPC Nationals.

For anyone interested, here are four Natural Master Pro competitions coming up:

2007 NGA ProAm World Cup, Atlanta, Georgia, September 8th
Two Classes of Master Pros: 40-50 & 50+

2007 IDFA Canadian Classic Pro Am, Toronto, Canada, November 3rd
    One Class of Master Pros

2007 FAME WNSO U.S. Nationals Master Pro, Miami, Florida, November 3rd
Two Classes of Master Pros: 40-55 & 55+

2007 NGA Natural Night of Champions Pro Masters and Pro Figure, Houston, Texas, November 17th
    One Class of Master Pros

For anyone trying for a Pro Card, all of these shows are Master Pro Qualifiers in the amateur contests that preceeds the Pro show.

I will compete in the Master Pro Division in Atlanta and Miami.

Tim, what is the level of competition like at the NABBA Nationals? Is it like say a good regional NPC show, like the Metros that we did or tougher? I'd be interested to know. I too would like to do NPC Masters National in 2008 once I get a few more shows under my belt. Thanks.

Mike,it`s about like the Metros..........nowhere near as much drug abuse/use as a big NPC contest like the Masters Nats.

          You`d do good there bro!!

Oh shit. Now you might see me there bro. I'll make the inquiry and see if I can get in. My boy Benny Rodriguez knows the guy from the Bronx (I forget his name) who runs it and I'm sure you do too but I don't know if I need a qualifier cuz though I'm not new to lifting I'm still fairly new to competition. Any input? Thanks. Oh and congrats on your last show, you're having a great year.

                  Masters Nats

                  http://www.garyudit.com/npc_entry.html

Deadline to enter is June 29. The previous year isn't a good predicter for the next. Often, the lightheavies have been the toughest & deepest class, but last year there were just 8 in the category & it thinned out before the top 5 were placed. The lighter categories don't always have a lot of competitors. The top 3 in each class are always competitive in this show, & sometimes it's deep enough that the top 10 come in looking very good. Just depends on who shows up & in what condition.

Not sure, but I think you might be going up against masterchamp/Nationals07 (keith) in the welterweight class. It would be a great competition.

You are indeed incredible. Interestingly, Keith has the same rear pose as you on a few bb websites. He is indeed incredible, too. As I said, this would be an interesting competition. If you go to my web site (www.BodyBuildingSenior.com) and click on my Friends of Old Navy Gallery and scroll down, you will find some shot of Keith there. They are from last year, and from what he is saying in his log, he is in the best shape of his life now and will be for the Nationals.

                          Tipsta.

Since you are lifetime natural, I have another show for you to consider. FAME WNSO has added a Masters Pro Class to their federation. The first Master Pro show will be the 2007 FAME WNSO Masters Nationals and US Masters National Championship in Miami on November 4th. The classes are Master Pro 40-55 and 55+. If you are interested, there are a few FAME Master Pro Qualifiers in Georgia before the November event. Let me know and I will provide you with more information. I am a FAME WNSO Master Pro and will compete in the 55+ Class at this event.

Just a heads up. I've done two SO CALLED drug free shows....MUSCLEMANIA. WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!!!

Heres how I feel. Not because I am A DEVOTED NPC competitor but Bodybuilding is like baseball. You have the Mets and they have 3 minor league divisions. Now, there are hundreds of other baseball organizations but they don't really mean much.....Bodybuilding is the same. There is the IFBB and their minor league the NPC. I feel those who don't compete in the NPC truly can't. I am lucky enough to have some of the best nutritionally in this sport behind me and have incredible experience with people like DAN DUCHAINE, JOHN PARRILLO, JOE McNEIL. So while I can, I will, but THANKS
