    • 1-09-10 Satuday Chest,Shoulders and Abs (20 mins cardio)

Chest very weak the last few weeks. Not sure why. Seems as the weather got colder strength started decreasing quickly on my chest. Also at this gym not getting in any kind of incline presses since the smith machine is shit and the incline bench is also shit there. My upper chest has lost alot of mass because of that. Has become flat.

Eating is getting better now that my mindset is improving. So should be able to start gaining some weight again. Will see though.:

(200 lbs after bread and water)

Flat bench Press: (3/4 reps until end then locked out)

      135x20
225x33 (9 reps off from best)
      275x13 (12 from best)
(Full reps on the rest of the sets, but very weak)
      315x4

      Dropset: (No rest between sets)
      315x4
      225x12
      185x10
      135x10

Something very fucked with my chest strength and dont know what it is yet

      Incline Hammer Strength Press:

270x16 (Over 14 reps from best)
      360x3 (Around same reps off)
      320x9

      Incline Dumbbell Press:

      100x6

      Dumbbell Lateral Raises:

      45x50 (warm)

      Dropset: (No rest between sets)

      100x10
      80x10
      70x10
      60x10
      50x10
      45x10
      --------
      70x25

Kneeling Cable Crunches with narrow steel handle:

      200x50
235x20 (35 lb plate pinned to stack)
      235x21

      20 mins cardio

Now that my mind is freed up and can eat again, stocked up on food, the weight gains are starting to take place again. Should continue. We will see what my limit is though on just preworkout supplement and food.

First time at 202 in a while though. Though ive been 208, 202 was my strongest and largest overall, at one point.

        :

(202 lbs after meal, shake and water)

        Alternating Dumbbell Curls:

        35x15 (warm)
        70x15
        80x12
        60x12
        45x12
        50x12

        Standing Cambered bar Curls:

        110x20
140x8 (too much strain on rotators)

        Dumbbell Hammer Curls:

        50x15
        70x15
        60x15

        Hammer Strength Preacher Curl:

        90x15
        135x10
        160x8 (shoulder strain)

        Curved Bar Pressdowns:

Reverse Dropset: (No rest between sets)

        90x15
        130x15
        170x15
        200x8
        ------
235x20 (35 lb plate pinned to stack)
        235x21
        235x20

        Dropset: (No rest between sets)

        200x15
        170x12
        150x8
        130x8
        110x8
        --------
        Dropset: (No rest between sets)

        200x15
        170x8
        150x8
        130x8
        110x8

Kneeling Cable Crunches with narrow steel handle:

        200x30

                      Great lifts, man!

                      Appreciate that shit!!

My diet is "cleaner" now then how it was. Before was merciless quest for calories and protein. This would include triple whoppers, half gallon of chocolate milk, anything to meet the nutritional needs for growth. Or even maintenance. Its very hard for me to even maintain. One of my favorite meals was 10 fried chicken legs and 12 fritters. Then I wouldnt have to eat for a while. My old diet worked for me though. Half a gallon of milk every day , tv dinners, fast food, buffets, and mostly microwavable and non cook foods.

Though there was a time when I cooked alot of chicken breasts, potatoes and things like that. When I ate much cleaner. It was never as effective for me for gaining weight. Now my diet is somewhere inbetween.

Yesterday was not real high calorie but around 280 protein:

pastry, pita chips. Four ham sandwhiches for first meal (20 slices), protein shake for second meal, (3 mini donuts) Three tortillas, fourteen slices of bacon and large container of pasta and broccolli for third meal, 12 hard boiled eggs for fourth meal (pre packaged ones), 55 gram whey shake for fifth meal

My days range from 4000-6000 calories. It seems I need atleast 4000 to maintain. My protein is a minimum of 200 as well

My diet lately has consisted of hardboiled eggs, weightgainer or protein shake, (I mix 4 scoops of cytogainer with 8 tbsp peanut butter, 4 tbsp olive oil, 16 oz milk for a 2000 calorie 100+ gram of protein shake. Olive oil is a very good way to add calories. 120 per tbsp) tv dinners/microwavables, super high calorie and protein snack mix, and many other non cook items.

The other day a pound and a half of chop meat in taco shells. So it varies. There are times when every day is different. I just aim for those numbers by the end of the day.

Best source of protein ive found is beef heart. The heart of the bull/cow. Just cut off the fat and clean it. Then boil it for a few hours. 200 grams of protein for each heart. Very tender meat and only about 2$ a pound. Rediculously cheap. Only trade off is high cholesterol but its low fat and lean

Thanks for the response! Yup, whenever I eat similarly to what you've described, I ALWAYS pack on more mass. And as long as you are tearing it up in the gym, you really won't put on much fat. The beef heart sounds interesting. I'll have to see if my local butcher carries it.

                        Thanks again, Beast.
