This is my journal. I started it after being diagnosed with Celiac disease. To add insult to injury, I found out I can't eat any dairy, soy, eggs, most nuts and seeds, even some fruits and vegetables, at the same time. Fortunately, I can eat all the protein I want....

    Will stalk that shit now.

Thats a condition that limits the types of foods you can eat? Thats got to be a huge annoyance to work around. Atleast you can keep the protein high though. My biggest problem when it comes to diet is fucked up nerves. Hate to eat. Once a day if Im starving, is fine, but fucking hate the eating part. Stomach is fucked up too.

    KILLLLLLL!!

It does. Celiacs can't eat any foods that contain gluten which comes from wheat, barley, etc. It's also an additive in fucking everything, which you find out very quickly post-diagnosis. Nerves will screw you every single time if you can't eat in that state. Sounds like a quick way to piss you off!

Thats got to be tough. Yea for me eating is like suffocation. Im so fucking self consumed with my own demons, pacing, that eating fucks with me. I can go days without food, but I drop weight rapidly if I miss a meal. Training I can do all day. Fucking anger management. haha. Blocks shit out. Stomach is fucked up too, so digestion is bad.

That's shitty. You're burning a ton of fuel off with that nervous energy too...
I eat every 1 and a half to 2 hours or so. If I go longer, a massive attitude problem develops.

Yea, thats why I burn up like a furnace 24/7. Fucking nerves, anxiety, rage. Life is like a constant fucking panic attack with lots of grinding teeth. The adrenaline and hate is all that keeps my blood pulsing though. Its good in some ways for training, but also leads to self destruction. All part of the fun!!

Atleast you get those meals in. Thats the hardest part of training for me.

For me it's not to have a carb-attack dietary meltdown. Rice doesn't contain gluten and neither do oats, so consuming mass quantities of those becomes a "good idea". I get pissed when my strength drops off a bit on diet down. Speaking of food, it's time for me to go cook some! Keep killin it!

Yea, I need carbs more then protein for growth. GRILL THAT SHIT!!

So your diet is similar to what Palumbo recommends? High protein, medium fats, low carbs?

                    You mean you're not a big eater? I'm definitely not. Skip LaCour recommends eating at 7 a.m., 9, 11, 1 p.m., 3, 5, 7, and 9 p.m. Wtf? No way am I going to accomplish that.

Right now I'm following wavelength's diet which consists of one real meal or solid food meal per day and 100 grams of protein by shake and divided up however you want over the course of the day. Perfect for the person with a small appetite.

Your current avatar? That side chest is rockin tha DIESEL!

                    KILL THAT SHIT!

Thats my biggest weakness/limitation when it comes to this shit. Im fine to go without eating for days at a time. Id prefer to only eat occasionally. My nerves are so fucking shot, and stomach fucked up that its not something I do for enjoyment. Just for the result.

So I tend to eat like a snake somewhat. Ill eat a massive meal, sometimes taking me hours to consume. A meal can be 2000-2500 calories. The rest of my day will be liquids like half gallon of milk, weight gainer shake with olive oil and milk, and high protein and carb snacks throughout the day. Got a fridge on my desk. The days vary though. Sometimes its more divided, but I tend to eat less then 3 or 4 meals on most days. I only need about 200 grams of protein daily to grow beyond this point, however 4000-5000 calories consistantly. Unless I take some prohormones or AAS then I can grow on my current diet. Lately because of my intestines, Ive been so backed up, often dont have the room for more food, which causes a dilemma. Ive eaten to the point of vomitting, but theres comes a point when it does no good. I would rather have nutrients in a fucking IV and sleep all day.

Mmmmm, not exactly. I'd be very curious to see what Dave would do with someone like me, given the extent of my restrictions. This is what the diet looks like, day in and out. 7 meals.

                        1. 1/4 cup steel cut oats, with water
                        2. small banana or apple post workout
                        3. 6 oz chicken with veggies or greens
                        4. veggies
                        5. 3 oz salmon on greens
                        6. veggies
                        7. 6 oz chicken with veggies or greens

I do cook the chicken in a little bit of olive oil if I don't grill it.

                        • Ive had an undiagnosed stomach disease for most my life, and the two weeks we triedd to figure out if it was a gluten intolerance kinda sucked. Good for you finding ways around it and still dieting. Its also ridculously expensive to try and buy anything gluten free (a box of 8 ice cream cones was $10), so at least your stuck on brown rice and oatmeal.
Turn the other cheek and I'll break your fucking chin.

Sorry to hear about that. Did you find out what was bringing you down? I don't eat much junk to begin with, but I am half-Italian so getting used to a different kind of pasta was a drag. To be honest, I don't miss bread, pizza, regular cereal, or pasta much. I have figured out some decent versions of the cookies that I used to love before, so at Christmas-time that works.

                            • 2-16-09 Back and Rear Delts (15 mins cardio)

Decided to go lighter today and move the weight slower, hold contractions on most sets. Something different from the usual ballistic higher rep sets. Getting 50+ with 360 and 30+ with 450 on the iso low row hammer strength has been getting rediculous. Figure this will give my tendons some rest too, and maybe cause some growth since its something new. Will hit some core work tommorrow on my day off. :

(194lbs after small meal , water)

Wide Grip Chin Ups: (Straight bar used on last 4 sets)

                              35
                              13 +25lb
                              5 +25lb
                              16
                              19

                              One Arm Dumbbell Rows:

                              110x30 (warm)
160x10 (right arm, due to shoulder strain) 160x21 (left arm)

Iso Low Row Hammer Strength: (Done very slowly holding contractions, last set done ballistic)

                              270x30
                              360x17
                              360x19
                              360x15
                              360x20

                              Low Cable Rows:

190x15 (done slow holding contractions, rest of sets done quicker)
                              250x9
                              285x6
                              250x7

                              Independant Lat Pulldowns:

220x6 (some strain in armpit, so cut short)

Standing Cable Rear Delt Reverse Flies:

                              55x15
                              65x9
                              55x15

Standing Rope Pulls on cable apparatus:

                              150x15
                              190x12
                              200x15

                              (15 mins cardio)

                              • Good work. Lighter weight but with that slow, controlled, squeezing contraction will BLISTER your muscles. That's what I did while rehabbing my back and holy hell was I sore!!! It was awesome...
