The legs are still only 26 1/2. Need alot more meat on em. Im limited now to leg press , leg extention, leg curls. Cuz of these ruptured disks. Knees and shins been causing problems lately too. Should be able to add some inches on em though in the coming years

Beast, very motivational journal. Especially for people who have injuries but must continue training due to it being psychological therapy. Size and strength, even physique refinement is secondary for me. I am also relegated to only using the leg press for quads because of back and knee problems. But, quite surprisingly, my quads are now growing. Much better than before when I used to do squats. How is your back holding up? Any problems there? Another personal question, if I may. Do you drink alcohol?
Looking forward to your next journal entry!

No alcohol. Feel like shit whenever I do. Lasts for days. Now I avoid it completely. Maybe a weekly painkiller at end of week to calm my fuckin mind a bit. An occasional cigar as well, but thats more rare these days.
Know how it is with major injuries. Its a mind fuck. For a long time it felt like I wouldnt be able to get back into it again, but I knew I would find a way.
My back is very stiff always. I am just used to it. Mild headaches consistantly too. Base of my spine is crooked as well as some ruptured disks. I think the fluid may have leaked from my disks and reabsorbed into the body. Maybe thats why I got my range of motion back. For years it hurt to contract my shoulder blades without weight. Two ruptured disks up between the shoulder blades. I worked on strengthening my core and then gradually experimenting with what I could get away with in the gym, and eventually got myself better then my previous largest, strongest.
Will never deadlift again as I found them alot of fun but unneccesary for size. I can build my traps and lower back thickness with shrugs and weighted extentions. my upper back gets hit better with super heavy machine rowing these days. I dont pick anything off the floor basically anymore.
Have been doing shrugs close to 600 lbs and back hasnt been any worse then usual. I just have to guage it and do what I can. If need be Ill take a few days off when it gets pulled out. It hasnt gotten that bad in a while though. Still get some shooting pains and all kinds of strains and pain, everywhere in my body, but Im only concerned with how it affects each training day. Not my "quality of life" or health
I will pay the price for that mindset and brutal way of life but the alternative would be a string of mutilated bodies, KILLING until Im dead. Trying to vent some of that

4-25-10 Sunday Legs, Calves and Hamstrings (Done 3 am next morning)
Decided to start going full range as deep as possible on leg presses, over the amount of weight used. So went lighter and less reps and went as deep as possible. My legs tend to stop at a certain point, so setting the seat lower and letting the weight press down and stretch the legs back, was giving me more depth. The way I used to do them years ago pre injury. Works the full leg much better.
The daily calve training seems to be strengthening my shin bones. Since the pain wasnt really there today. Either that or the dieselbolan has pain masking or healing effects.:
(212 lbs after buffet and ALOT of liquids, several shits)
Leg Press: (Maximum depth over the amount of weight and reps used)
400x25 warm
600x25
600x30
600x40
700x35
800x35
900x21
1000x25
800x20
Calve Raises On Leg Press Machine:
400x50
600x40
600x50
600x50
600x50
Leg Press:
600x30
Leg Curls:
125x25 warm
170x12
185x10
185x15
210x8 (stack)
170x10

How does your back feel if you put the seat all the way back and go through a greater range of motion? I'm thinking we might have similar back woes (not to mention mental issues, but I think yours is more severe lol) and the next day is when it hits me and I'm tempted to buy a few bottles of high alcohol expensive Belgian beer just to help with the pain.
That's one hell of a workout. I think the leg curls are what motivated me the most.
And what is your secret to multiple shits per day?Buffet food???
Keep KILLIN it!

I get itching and tingling sensations in my lower back after doing the leg presses, especially with all that depth. Whole back and neck is always stiff as fuck since my ruptures and wear and tear injuries. So thats nothing new. I can do it without pulling out my back and not being able to move for a week, unlike my initial attempts at getting back into it, which made me immobile for long periods of time. Core and everything has gotten alot stronger then after the injuries.
