Always reason to KILL it next time. I used to get real pissed off when I didnt break a record every session. Even though its impossible to do it. Would be repping a few tons if that was the case by now. These days doesnt really phase me too much. Since Im more after size and after the injuries my mindset changed. So just focus on tearing up the muscle, even if its not strong that day.

truth. this past chest day I wasnt feeling strong at all so i did like 7 sets incline DB but with 3 drops to failure. Drop sets are no fucking joke doing legs or chest if u arent feeling as strong. dunno if u ever try that (havent read every page of the journal)...

Plus those fucking negatives you did are the shit too.

Thats true. I dont do them often but ive done some good dropsets on the HS machines and also the flat bench at the end.

Today my leg is twisted or some shit, nerve damage, not really sure. I had that sciatica low back sprain before I entered gym yesterday. I just ignored it. Never can really pinpoin whats fucked up exactly. So legs might need some more time off. Theyve somehow kept most of thier size despite the minimal training though.

Yea I used to do negs alot. Not so much on the smith machine, but I think Ill incorporate them. Something I can control though. 455 went straight down last week. Maybe cuz I havent done these in a while and was also burnt out. Will try something that I can control very slowly though.

                    Appreciate that shit

Once I set a new standard Im obsessed with raising it, but its impossible to do that consistantly. Plus now Ill be lucky to maintain my strength while staying off everything for a while. Used to get furious when I failed lifts in the past but now my mindset is so different. After the injuries and adapting , going through all the trials , my mind changed alot. Now I just wanna tear the muscle up and grow it. So it doesnt fuck with me much at all now. Only a little.

Train at 2 gyms now. 24 hour fitness and ballys. The ballys location is the first gym I came back to after my 2 year lay off. I then moved so its 40 mins drive now. The 24 hour is very close and open all the time. Which is a good feature. I hate the style and lighting of that gym, but its decently equipped and easily accessible. I dont like being on a time schedule. The hot tub at 2 am and swimming is great to loosen up my spine sometimes too.

Equipment on back and chest day is very limited for me though. Its doable but for those two days I hit ballys.

Same mind set and attitude as me man. I used to ruin workouts if I missed a lift because I'd be so fucking pissed. Now, although I still strive to set a PR every session sometimes it's not possible so instead of getting pissed it's onto the next one and eventually you get that PR.

My knuckle swelled up like a golf ball one time from beating the shit out of the power rack on deadliftin days.

Size is my main goal now. Ill always lift heavy, and with size will come more strength. Ive always been much stronger then my size, due to mindset, adrenaline and consistantly pushing the limits, building that tolerance. I can get alot stronger without adding size, so the two dont neccesarily go together

that's the fucking mindset bro, even if it's not possible to bend 800lbs, your body still attempts it and thereby the muscle keeps growing...sick chest session, the volume always is impressive
