    Appreciate that shit

The DOMS should be pretty mild. The first week I started hitting legs again, after some weeks off, they were quite sore for about a week. After the first week they became pretty immune to the soreness. The joints now get the most soreness. I used to hit much heavier and higher volume for them so this isnt pushing them into new territory. Leg presses Id usually do 8 sets in the high rep ranges and right around failure. The leg press is the main exercise that would get them sore, so three sets doesnt really do anything for that. Even with the full volume nothing gets too sore. Only when Ive taken some weeks off training a bodypart.

    • Woke up with a twisted neck. Left side of neck into left trap and back of shoulder joint. This is normal lately whenever I try to get blood into my traps. Thus the lack of any direct trap work. The combination of dumbbell laterals earlier this week and then sneaking in the upright rows with legs was enough to cause that. So I have to limit my volume and weight used when trying to hit that area. Some type of nerve damage Im sure. Maybe the same shit that causes numbness in hands for the last several years.

Next up is arms training. I will hit that as soon as the shit is healed up enough. Right now cant turn my head and the shoulder joint is also involved in the strain. Possibly by end of week or early next week.

      • Hope you heal up soon bro. Are you still using that Bioslife digestive supplement? Do you feel it helps with stomach pain and bloat, constipation? Looking forward to your arm workout. What do you arms measure cold? And what height are you?

I still use that bioslife supp on the days I remember to get it in. It helps alot with my digestion. With stomach pain and bloat Ill usually take some generic gas X. Cheap as hell and I find it usually gets rid of the problem. I dont eat any vegetables currently so the bioslife helps keep shit moving.

My arms now are at 18 3/4 cold at 5'8 barefoot. I was up to 19 1/2 but carrying more sloppy weight, and a cleaner 19 1/4 cold recently. Pumped I was right below 20 a few months ago. 20 cold this year is a goal of mine but ultimately I will just KILL THAT SHIT and make sure that there is some new size progression each year. Normally I will go through smaller periods but when I peak I look to hit new size records at some point in the year. Then my smaller size becomes larger and larger and when I hit peaks they are higher.

Thanks man. A goal of mine is to get my arms to 16" at a body weight of 160 at 5'9". I've gone as high as 17" at a bodyweight of 174. Totally natural, no drugs, or pro hormones. I think you can hit 20" cold sometime this year. That would be a very good goal and achievement for you. I really believe you can do it...

Nice. I remember 17 inches took me a while. I was 19 when they were at that size. After about 5 years of straight training. So adding inches beyond that point was much slower for me. It took me until 23 to hit 17 3/4 cold , without any drugs. Just supps up until that point. Very lean at that point and weighing at 185. I started from maybe 105-115 I estimate with arms maybe 10 inches if I was lucky.

This was after 2 years of straight training at age 16 I believe. Arms were 14 inches here if I remember correctly, and weight was maybe 150

My memory may be a little off since this was 16 years ago, but you can see that it was a slow process.

For the first several years my calories were way below what they shouldve been. Due to moving furniture (mostly solo) and biking 7 miles each way to gym, very long training sessions.

20 inches is a nice launching point for me definately. Since one of my long term goals was 22-23. It becomes more painstakingly slow for me the higher I increase but it gets done. Of course those long term goals change as I get closer to the mark. Since there is no satisfaction in my mind.

You can definately hit 16 inches. Since you have been to 17 before, your body will get back there much quicker. When I lost all my size for 2 years , from the ruptured disks, it came back MUCH quicker then it took initially. Just make sure to hit everything hard with enough volume and FEED THAT SHIT. Without the nutrition aspect you can get stronger (to a degree) but size will never come.

200 protein would probably be a good range for you. Calories its hard to say depending on your metabolism. Can start with 3500-4000 maybe and tweak it from there.

Arms should come up when everything else adds mass. Back , chest, legs. The arms will usually follow the larger muscle groups it seems. It doesnt hurt to blast the shit out of arms on thier own day either. Just split it up so that it doesnt interfere with chest and back training. If your joints can handle it you can hit arms twice a week as well. It just depends on your recovery ability. I got the best gains on training 4 days a week, hitting all bodyparts once a week. So I dont believe it neccesary. Its better to have one all out training session then two half assed ones.

ABout to hit the buffet myself I think. I way overslept.

              • I just edited the post. I think arms were about 14 inches after 2 years training. I see in my '97 size chart is says 14. This picture may have been slightly before that time, so maybe in that range. I do remember at 19 I had 17 inch arms.

                      • Also yesterdays diet

(21 oz soymilk) (16)(21 oz soymilk) (32) Loaf of

bread for first meal (64)(cookies) (68)12 oz

shrimp and bag of rice for second meal, (158)12 oz

shrimp and bag of rice for third meal, (248)(6 tbsp

                        aminos) (278 protein)

Calories not too high but protein has been a minimum of 200 grams but aiming for mid 200's or closer to 300 when I can get it down. Digestion wise I think if I started early enough I would be able to get in 300 grams or more of protein daily, if it was needed, but there are also budget constraints. Unless I switch my diet to beef heart or some cheap shit. Beef hearts are 200 protein per heart and very cheap. However I would need close to 50 hearts for the month and they are not always that easy to get in mass quantity. It is a lean cheap meat though

It also seems like hydration has definately helped with my throat issues to some degree and even acid. Ive been drinking 60 oz or more of powerade daily and water when possible. This is a lot more then I usually consume I rarely drink liquids like water and powerade unless to take pills or some shit.

                        • Arms and 20 mins cardio

Weight is still coming up from the heavier eating. Kept it light today since shoulder and neck were still somewhat tender and left wrist was a slight issue. Moreso at the end of the routine.

Tricep strength seems down, but could easily be due to some elbow strain and the left wrist issues.

                          Mainly just another pump day:

                          (218 lbs after meal)

                              • Todays diet

4 hamburger patties for first meal, (72)

18 wings with celery and blue cheese for second meal,

                                (149)

10 whole eggs scrambled with 3/4 cup
                                mozarella for third meal,(220)

12 oz shrimp and bag of rice for fourth meal, (310)

                                (6 tablespoons
                                amino acids) (340 grams protein)

Not too many carbs. Main focus is protein now. Since with too much carb and calorie excess last time I put on alot of fat. All whole foods basically. Very rarely shakes. I find that I put on longer lasting quality weight with whole foods and digest it much better these days.

This was the most protein ive eaten in a while, so this is not the norm but I have been aiming for the upper 200s daily with a 200 gram protein minimum, which during this growth phase is more like a mediocre eating day

While I am not convinced I need this much protein daily to add quality muscle, I also realize that more food is always better then less when it comes to adding new muscle. Better to leave no shit UNKILLED
