Yes, done the same way. With all the time and effort you put into the gym you should give this a try. See if it can't help some of the aches and pains you have.

Arms
Not too heavy aside from the pressdowns, which are tough on my wrists during this "healing" phase.
All movements done slow, very strict
THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT i FELT NUMBNESS IN MY LEFT WRIST ON THAT SPECIFIC SIDE AREA OF
WRIST, DURING TRICEP PRESSDOWNS WITH CURVED BAR. iT WAS GETTING VERY IRRITATED INITIALLY BUT
THEN i WRAPPED MY WRISTS SUPER TIGHT AND SEEMED TO SOLVE THE ISSUE DURING TRAINING, MOSTLY, EVEN
WITH 300 LB STACK.
I MENTIONED THAT I FELT THIS NUMBNESS MAYBE LAST WEEK WHILE AT HOME, WHEN I WOULD STRIKE THE
SIDE OF MY WRIST ON THE LITTLE FINGER SIDE OF THE HAND. NUMBNESS MOSTLY WENT INTO THE SMALL
FINGERS AND BACK OF HAND UPON IMPACT. SIMILIAR SENSATION TODAY DURING TRAINING.
OTHERWISE GOOD PUMP. SOME WRIST AND ELBOW PAIN AS USUAL:

Appreciate that shit brother
Know how it is. In times like that all you can do is remember that the pain is temporary. Even when the shit has been for many years and the future looks black, suffocating. The only vent that works for me is very heavy lifting. Bodyweight or light training doesnt do anything for me mentally.
You might want to look into the cheapest foods you can find. Like eggs and cheap meat at a butcher shop, grits, rice, etc. Tuna can be cheap too and milk. I lived off of those foods for many years and made most of my gains during those periods.
You can also try to find a gym that is very cheap, some are only 10 dollars a month. Or get some equipment for home use.
Ive had these lay offs as well and the drive can be lost for a while. The longer Im out though the stronger the fire when I return.

I believe you said you were in the 170 or 180s there and very strong at that weight. No doubt youll get that shit back quickly. Not too long ago I took about 6 months off. Maybe a few sessions in that time but mostly off. I got back to where I was and then began exceeding that level within 6-8 weeks I would say. If your metabolism is still quick then it can take alot longer. Since my metabolism slowed down it has been much easier to gain size back, and maintain size gained. Complete opposite in the past. Once I hit late 20s is when that change began.
Faster metabolism would just mean you need to eat a shitload more to achieve the same results, but completely doable. The positive is that you should gain more lean muscle without too much extra fat.

Appreciate that shit brother
My leg routines are definately toned down from the past but Im glad that my knees can still survive the abuse, after nearly 20 years of this shit. That is the main factor that limits my volume and weight used on legs these days. The farther I go above 8 plates a side on the leg press the sharper that shin and knee pain gets.
Leg extentions just burn like a mother fucker but once the knees start to flare up is when I usually finish it off. Recently I went over 700 reps rest pause style on the extentions so it really varies on how the knees feel. I am so limited to what movements I can do. So whichever movements my body allows I try to to blast the fuck out of them with full intensity. And also embrace and increase that burning pain as much as possible. I used to think I was doing it to build muscle, but I think I get off on pushing myself to the limit. I really have no good reason to have larger legs and damaged knees. They just get in the way.
KEEP THAT SHIT DEAD !!

Already there brother. I opted for a much slower suicide. Wanted to savor that shit
Think Ill go kill some chest and delts now with my fucked up wrists and numb hands. Should be fun. Its good to see the re emergence of some posters who I respect in the journal. And a recent newcomer. Always appreciated. I want to spread that fire again, so I will post some more of my sessions again in here. It fires me up to spread that rage to those who are receptive to it.
I will still have to restrain myself so that I can continue killing my shit regularly. Itll be good to get some blood in there though, despite being fucking torn apart
