He has felt the pain of ruptured discs, the love that has come and gone, and the tension and frustration that has not allowed him to destruct and re-construct his limbs and torso because of injury to his body and mind........he is now a different person, a different being if you will.

I have heard of this Beast, but I do not believe that he is what the others claim him to be. Some will not even speak his name, like saying Candyman in front of the mirror 3 times, but I seek the truth. I am getting restless, uncomfortable, and curious. Am I where I should be? I start to doubt that this Beats exists.

Then, out of no where I hear this incredible scream that shakes the very foundation of my being. Every breathe, every movement I make now has my complete attention. I experience sensory overload as I notice that this place has no rules, boundaries, or conscience in his presence. I have never been in a place like this before and nor do I want to return for I can see everything that no one wants to see. Only pure pain and fear surrounds this demon. No one that leaves here is ever the same again I assure you. I hope that I get to leave this place, leaving is now my primary concern.

He is approaching behind me, breathing fast and uncontrolled. I hear his heart beat as he gets closer. Do I run? Do I turn around and face this Beast not knowing what horror I will see that will scar my soul? Do I stand my ground among this Beast and try to earn his respect as I hope he cannot see the terrible terror and fear in my eyes. I decide to turn and face the Walking Beast.

I turn around and look up. I am amazed and horrified at the same time. I realize now I should have ran while I could, but its too late. With my last breathes I see a BEAST in all his dreadful glory. His eyes red and filled with rage, his tears are made from the blood of the weak. He walks completing surround by fire and the louder he speaks the louder the fire roars from his being. He is not a mere mortal and as he takes mine from me I realize that I am one of the many that feed this monster. The monster within all of us, The Walking Beast.
I think I found my next 500 word submission.

I just need to edit it a bit.

I thought I would give you a heads up so you were not surprised when I posted it.

              • 2-18-09 Friday Chest

Fucking weak day, but atleast not much shoulder strain. My stomach was torn up from the nights eating prior. So couldnt eat anything without it going through me. So trained empty stomach on stims, already dehydrated and depleted.

One thing is clear though. Training with more controlled reps and fuller range with chest ALWAYS fucks my strength and size. Definately lost alot. Ballistic and shorter range is always best for me to build chest. And free weight benches. Will do what I can though.:

(197 lbs before meals, fucked stomach)

Flat Bench Press: 3/4 reps til end then locked out

                135x20
225x34 (No spotter so bad position on bench)
                275x18
                315x8
                315x7

                Incline Dumbbell Presses:

                100x9
120 (fail, too much strain on my biceps tendon)

Incline Hammer Strength Press: (Back to ballistic shorter reps but still weak as fuck today)

                270x30
                360x7
                360x6
                360x7

Had enough weakness for one session. KILLLLL

Funny that you mention this. I feel it's the same for me too. Slow and controlled...less reps and less weight. Ballistic...more weight and more reps. I've found the latter being the more effective for me.

For chest my muscle seems to not even acknowledge those slow controlled reps. Shorter range, sloppier form and ballistics is what really tears up my chest and brings me more strength and size for the next sessions. When Im getting weaker and looking flatter in the chest it tells me the shit aint working.

I will still experiment with it, but when I can I think Ill be doing what has worked best for me.

I think it has something to do with the intertia of explosive lifting, carrying the weight on its own and adding extra reps with the load. Controlled negatives takes away from the explosion of more reps. By continuously dropping fast and blasting explosively I get so many more reps with the load. The speed of blasting the weight up doesnt give the muscle a chance to fail right away. For me thats the only way I seem to progress with chest especially
