Nice workout, few questions.
1) Did you switch up exercises much or is the same week in and out? Just wondering why you got such a good pump.
2) Isn't bad to go with so many forced reps as you did here...doesn't that make it harder to gain strength? I thought it was to failure, but never past.
3) Hammer machines...I'd do them...but I find it hard to figure out the proper seating. Anybody else have that issue? My Journal:

2. It might be, but I like to train hard and I don't like to be out trained. I was training with my friend Matt today. He is like 5'6'' and built for strength. I like to out train him. But everyone is different. There is no "cookie cutter plan for all people.
3. Trail and error. Understanding your own biomechanics really helps.Last edited by The Joker; December 2, 2010, 02:21 AM.Not Everything. Not Yet.

Good luck with the cardio. I always avoid the machines unless I have no other options. That is because I don't mind cardio nearly as much if I keep it fun or interesting. I do sprints in the road at my house, and I ride my bike. Also Karate is somewhat aerobic, that is why I signed up. Doing those is 1000x better than mindlessly trudging along on the treadmill or elliptical machine.

The thing with cardio is that is so fawking boring! I don't do the eliptical anymore because my feet always fall asleep on the damn pedals and my ass kills from sitting on the damn bike so that leaves me walking the treadmill on an incline. At about the 20 minute mark I start getting ancy, never mind going for 30-45 mins which is the optimal for fat burning. Even with my iPod on it becomes monotonous. Fortunately at my new gym they have little flat screen tv's on the treadmills but nothing good is usully on at that time lol!

Gotta mix that cardio up to keep it fresh. I can rarely do any type of cardio for 45 minutes straight unless I'm studying. I've found that doing some intervals on the rower or treadmill first kills 10-15 minutes pretty easily before I get bored then I switch to a treadmill or elliptical. Maybe 10 minutes then switch...repeat. Or row, ride, then run/walk...like a mini-triathlon. Also you could do plyometrics...those will get your heart rate up real quick.
