                          Hey the East coast is great. We have lots of grey rainy days, mud season in spring, and (in my area) black flies in summer! Don't knock it till you've tried it!

                          I actually live in ski country, and an area with quite a few lakes and mountains.

                          If any of you hardcore TJ'ers is coming to the northeast, you would be welcome to stay at my hunting camp for a weekend.

                                NY / NJ is about 6 to 8 hours by car from here. It would be cool if you came up. You'll be a lot closer to Austin DB in Albany, though.
