  • Did you lift w/ your legs or back? Sorry to hear your back is fucked up...that kinda screws up lifting...might might be good hitting seated leg work and arms.

      • Im still hitting it. No legs for a while and no Deadlifting. But other than that I am ok. Im really stiff getting out of chair. Like I cant stand up straight right away which is a huge leap forward that last week.

        I had to lift with my back i guess. I didnt have a choice. Had to have been there.

        Seth, name the time and place and Ill be there dude.

          How long do you figure it'll take for it to heal up? I feel your pain man, it almost makes you feel sick when you have to pass up on a squat/deadlift day because your back or something else cant take the strain.

          Are you going to physio/chiro or are you just giving it some time to rest?

          and that would actually be something if we managed a gym day with some of the training journal guys, what a shit show hahaha.

          • I'm thinking a month to heal up if I don't do anything stupid!,ya know.

            I have a doctors ap in a few hours. I have been thinking about going to a chiro but my problem is muscular, I think so if I can't get my back muscles to chill, having my spine ajusted won't do anything. My muscles will just pull me out of alingment again. So I'm trying to get some muscle relaxers from the Dr and then go to chiro in a few days.

            Maybe you should start a thread in TJ section about getting together and getting in some lifts with the TJ guys.

            • Well, I have a L5 strain. I got some muscle relaxers. Doc said it is a 6 week injury. That is what I figured.

              Chest today.

              Incline 10x185 7x195 8x200 8x200
              Machine press 12x135 10x150 8x165 4x180-4-135
              Pec deck 12x120 12x120 slow

              Standing calf raise 1 foot at a time 2x20
              Seated calf press 20x100 12x125 10x150 10x150+ 5 partials

                      • She was Fucked UP Yukon.
                        My muscle relaxers put me to sleep big time. I am supposed to take them every 6 hours but No way can I work when I'm on them. I drive forklifts and use big power tools at work. It would be safer for me to come into work having knocked back a few scotches or tequilas instead.

                        No training Friday, Saturday and probably not Sunday. Friday was my off day and I NEEDED IT. And I got a Business dinner in Seattle today (Saturday) and am coming back Sunday afternoon.

                        Cable seated rows Neutral shoulder grip- 12x120 12x140 10x160
                        Pull downs - I tried to do these but once the bar gets to head level, it starts to hurt my lower back.

                          Have a good time at your business meeting man! shitty deal with muscles relaxants, have you ever tried tiger balm? (similar to rub a535). Its fucking amazing, I swear by it for any muscle strains.
