the guy in the pic has one crazy tricep, thanks for the link. the heavy skullcrusher and the close grip bench press is my favorite for the tricep followed by bench dips

      Hi Sephiroth,
Great video link of triceps exercises and like to share some effective triceps exercises with others. Do make a set of these exercises for great triceps.
Dips, close bench press, seated triceps extension, rope push downs and triceps cable push downs.

I think the best exercises for triceps are the ones involving the triceps muscles.

          My Tricep work:
          1 inclined skull crushers
          2 Machine pushdowns
3 close grip smith machine bench -- something I really need to start doing more often.

Got to stick with the basics for building a nice set of triceps. Close grip bench, skull crushers and dips, there are tons of great tricep movements but these three are the meat and potatoes.

                    I had a question....when doing tricep pulldowns:

                    1) How far away from the bar should you stand?
                    -Full arms length?

                    2) Should your elbows be all the way in front of your hips?

                    3) Should you stand straight up all the way or lean forward?

whatever you're comfortable with man I like to lean forward a little but and get a little more extension but just make sure you don't swing around

first off jabroni, cable pulldowns are NOTHING compared to close grip bench/close grip floor press, dips, or skullcrusher/jm press so dont forget to master the basics first. as far as pulldowns, to answer ALL your questions...do them in the way that BEST targets your triceps alone. if you feel it too much in your shoulders or elbows, or not enough in your triceps, change positioning.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's nobody I'd rather be, than me.
