  • Eric,

Can you define what an OTC Natural is exactly ( in your opinion ) Im starting to think there are a few levels of Naturals. Those who use nothing but food and zero supplements and then those who buy OTC ( but in the past several products have been found to be tainted ) so what happens then ? You end up not being as natural as you thought ? Then there is the person who says as long as I can pass a drug test I am natural ........ so a few weeks out they drop questionable supps and end up clean game day. Its all a bit confusing to me.

Ok, strictly MY opinion is this:

In this day and age I simply call "natural" bodybuilders "OTC" bodybuilders. EVERYONE is going to have a different view on what crosses the line and what doesn't, so I simply believe that if it is something that can be purchased in a health food store, then it falls under the natural umbrella. That said, I must also break it down a bit further in that if you are a competitor, you must follow the rules of the organization that you compete with. If they suddenly decide to ban synephrine, then you need to abide by that rule. In addition, there are still some supplements being sold over the counter that functionally are steroids, and that in my opinion is the one area where my "OTC rule" breaks down.

Supplements that are supposed to be natural and are found out to be tainted are another issue entirely, as this is not the fault of the user. However, in a literal sense, even if you take something unknowingly, you are no longer "natural."

All of that said, I also believe that if someone did a couple of PH or even steroid cycles in years past but have been OTC ever since, that person can still be considered natural, as 1-2 cycles is not going to have long lasting effects.

I can go on and on, as there are so many "degrees" and "layers" to this argument. However, I guess you can say that the purest of "naturals" only use food and no supplements. Once supplements come into the picture, then it becomes quite complex and opinion based.

The type of stretching I am speaking of you cannot do on your own, but only with the help of another person. My chiropractor and/or massage therapist would stretch me out intensely during each visit.

To gain mass keep your repetitions in the 7-12 range for the most part.
